“I heard there were robbers. Where are they?” Arius asks, genuinely confused at the situation.

As Paprika turns her head downward toward Rafau, she twists her expression into a mocking smile. “So you tried to pull something. Good. I love games like this.”

She surveys the damage done to him without a hint of disgust at the gore.

(Heal check to determine his general state, whether he has any ability to escape, etc.?)

The running woman, who is currently cowering behind you, points mutely at Drakor and Zelsh.

He’s definitely injured (though it’s hard to tell how injured with much specificity), but his legs seem functional. On the other hand, you’ve currently got him surrounded, so…

Paprika begins casting a spell, then lightly touches Rafau’s forehead, quickly pulling her hand back as soon as contact is made: nothing visibly happens. (She places an invisible Arcane Mark on him.)

Her voice remains low as she speaks to him. “Keep in mind that I have non-violent, perfectly legal means to ensure you cannot escape. You’re the one who’s started this game. I won’t rest until I get a full surrender.”

He surveys the area, face falling slightly. There’s one person who isn’t part of your group, so he can’t just drop the facade…

“I would be glad to testify before the law about your companions’ unwarranted attack on me,” he bites out. “Can they say the same?”

(@arete what’s an ambush predator that lives in the gronzi?)

(Does this heal me too)

“Anything else you’d like to testify about?” Paprika’s breath formed a light giggle. “That is why you’re alive.”

(yes, anyone within thirty feet)

…The woman who initially found your group starts to back away slowly, looking around nervously.

“Kill me, and the full force of the law will come down on you,” Rafau says. “Let me free, and they may be merciful.”

“There’s no robbers. This guard here attacked us out of the blue.” Zelsh replied.
