Wanderer will walk to the woman (he has no weapons), and then ask her to follow him out of the alleyway so that he may explain the situation.
(Legally I think this is a diplomacy make a request?)
âHeâs lying,â lies Rafau, trying to make eye contact with the woman who brought the group here.
(She doesnât seem to notice the eye contact; sheâs continuing to back away slowly.)
âHe seems to be upset his obfuscation of the site of a demon cult is being discovered,â Paprika added helpfully (and loudly). âStill, resorting to murder to hide oneâs own more minor crime is a terrible idea.â
She would absolutely love to be out of this alleyway, and if one of you has to be present sheâd prefer it to be the one who healed the Watchman! She will follow you willingly out of the alleyway.
After the other women leaves, Paprika tilts her head expectantly at Rafau, inviting him to say something more.
âYouâre the one that will get in trouble here and as long as you donât try anything funny, you wonât be harmed.â Zelsh growled out threateningly.

(Why would a Watch guard say he was being attacked by my companions?)
(Ah. Perhaps it is because of time constraint? After all, it would be easier to say he was being attacked by robbers than by strangers.)
(With that out of the way, should I believe him, a member of the local authority; someone whose attitude I donât like given our recent short interactionâŚ)
(âŚor should I believe my companions, whose goals match mine? âDrakor is one of the people the guard claims to have attacked him, and I really canât see him attack a guard out of nowhere.)
(I donât know Zelsh very well though. All I keep hearing from him is how he is searching for his brother⌠Did the guard touch a nerve or something?)
Arius frowns as he processes the situation. He chooses to believe his companions over Rafau, whose attitude had bothered the Magus.
However, the guard is a member of the local authority. As such, regardless of who he supports, Arius foresees the emergence of yet another trial. He shudders at the prospect at becoming a witness for a second time.
(At this point I am just praying this bloke is a cultist so we can kill him immediately.)
Inner inner thoughts
(O Irori, I thank thee for the trials that you have given me, but I sincerely question whether this is truly the path you have laid bare.)
Zelsh ends up getting the hiccups midthreat.
âSorry. Dishonest authority figures always gives Zelsh the hiccups for some reason.â Zelsh apologized.
âIâm not afraid of you,â he chokes out, and unlike the last time he seems to actually believe it.
Hi! To find out what I can do, say @discobot display help.
âWhat, are you still convinced of that absurd theory?â he says. (You get the impression that he may be⌠failing to realize that things that are obvious to him may not be obvious to other people with different states of knowledge.) âIâm not some kind of idiot who would destroy evidence of cult activity just out of anger at seeing a cult symbol, thatâs ridiculous. Itâs just a symbol, it has no power on its own.â
After the two get out of the alleywayâŚ
âI canât say I understand the totality of the situation, but I believe it to be a disagreement turned violent. Thanks to your help, nobody is dead. Iâll take it upon myself as a priest to ensure that no fighting starts up again and that everyone can safely go home.â
He considers the universe.
âYou look quite exhausted. Are you alright?â
âI would gladly testify in a court of law to your actions today,â Drakor scoffed. âWhether or not the corruption that has ensnared you extends even to the justice system remains to be seen, but your position is so indefensible a child with a rock could breach it.â
He continued. âYou claim we were trying to rob you. This is false. First, you insisted on following us after I found tracks leading from the crime scene. Nobody invited you.â
Drakorâs voice was bored, monotone. âSecond, when bystanders arrived, did I threaten them? Did I try to silence them? No. I ordered one of them to seek medical aid and the other to fetch the Watch, despite your treachery being enough to make a worg proud. Are these the actions of a thief? Ridiculous.â
He yawned. âFinally, we didnât even take anything off your person while you were unconscious. Idiot.â
âIâll be fine, it just took me a few minutes to find a healer.â She swallows, casting a nervous glance back at the alleyway. âAre they going to kill me?â
He answers with a quick âNo, no. You are safe. If you are still worried though, I would suggest getting out of the area.â

âDrakor is correct. Now why did you attack us?â Zelsh asked Rafau curiously. âRemember, we can go to the temple and pay to have you put under a truth spell before questioning you.â Zelsh reminds the guard.
