He glares at you. “Are you saying our men can’t handle it?” He scoffs. “It’s just a few cultists.”
“Of course.” Paprika looks slightly awkward. “Well, I’m going to work on the sewing project.”
(Hmmm. I don’t want to penalize you too much for someone else failing a Diplomacy check because that just leads to an environment of “only the person with the best modifier ever gets to roll”, which is kind of sad. But I also feel like the theoretical endpoint here of “everyone separately rolls Diplomacy every time you want to be diplomatic at someone” is kind of
. I think I’ll allow it, but only if your character can come up with a separate argument for why you should be able to be involved, does that seem fair to you?)
Canary, although nobody can quite see it as well as Rika could’ve in their room, continues her weird reading habit of constantly moving the book forward and closer, or closing one eye and trying to read it like that, etc.
Upon finishing the section that’s actually relevant to her, Canary stuffs the book into her overcoat, cogs turning in her brain, connecting each fact to others.
{I wonder what Domain Wanderer has access to.}
(oh, I forgot to put this in the wall, but it would have been in the book – most clerics get two domains)
(…Wanderer doesn’t! but the book doesn’t go into a lot of detail about archetypes)
Zelsh could see that it was unlikely that the wstch was going to want their help and hesded back to his room at the inn before getting into his bed and vlosing his eyes before going to sleep.
(Going to head out myself now so good night everyone.
)
(This will be a challenge… Lord Irori, I have graciously received your gift.)
“Well, I happen to be a caster who can also wield a blade. I do apologize if I have offended the Watch– I assure you, that is not my intention,” Arius says apologetically.
“It’s just… I have a bad history with cultists in general, and I merely wish to lend a hand whenever possible when it comes to their… removal.” Arius says the last sentence whilst wearing a complicated emotion on his face.
(This is entirely fair)
“Who knows? Perhaps they’ve already gotten looped into the news. The truthtelling was hardly a private affair and gossip could have gotten out about a guard doing a racket. With that, you might be expecting a much larger fight at the leader’s than initially expected.”
Wanderer is stretching the truth but very much sticks to a story. A plausible one, he hopes.
(alright, give me another check)

(27)
(well one of the numbers is a 1!)
He sighs. “I guess I can see if they’ll put you with a patrol. But some of them already left, you know. That good enough for you?”
“Sure!” Wanderer looks to Arius.
“Thank you for your consideration,” Arius says as he gives a slight bow.
((Yes. Yes it is definitely good enough.))
“You said you wanted to take out Meren, right?” says the greying man. “Well, listen up. While you’re with me, you follow my orders, do you understand?”
Arius salutes and vigorously says: “Sir, yes sir!”
Wanderer nods.
“Right. We’re headed down to the docks, got it?”
As the group sets out, it’s clear that they’re treating you awfully coldly. They don’t overtly do anything to harass you, but they aren’t chatting with you, and they’re mostly avoiding actually meeting your eyes.
