[RP] Play-By-Post Pathfinder

(you’re good! that’s why I checked)

After a long pause, Paprika spoke.

“You’re able to cast Prestidigitation. That’s how you clean your clothes. And you Dazed that monster. You checked out a book from Jan’s without immediately throwing it in the garbage. So you’re not a witch. And you’re likely not a bard, because you wear no armor and never perform in front of anyone. From your personality, you clearly didn’t study magic on purpose, and you’re barely older than me, so you’re not a wizard.”

“So you’re likely a sorcerer. Your powers awoke in you without your permission. Probably… because of something you find shameful, something you want to hide. I knew of a sorcerer with an Abyssal bloodline. She had to leave town when it came out.”

Paprika briefly opened her notebook to a page later than the one she’d been showing and held it up close to Canary: she didn’t keep it open long enough to read the whole thing, but the same general idea was written out there.

(About how many hours in game would that be?)

“…It’s not shameful. It’s just…”

(great question! I think at this point time has gotten… fuzzy… but if your character had a brief thing they wanted to do before dinner, that would be okay)

This sucks.

I sigh, and try to hide as much as my body as possible.

(Nah I just wanna know how long drakor is sleeping for)

(I.e. how tired he would be when he wakes up at nightfall)

(Also whether he would be alert enough to wake up for dinner)

(probably, like, a couple hours? so you can get in a nap, but you will want to also sleep during the actual night)

(Mmm)

(So if he sleeps through dinner and only wakes up once everyone else goes to sleep how long would that be?)

(depends on when everyone goes to sleep )

(definitely less than 8 hours still, I’d guess somewhere between 4 and 6? if you want to try to pull an all-nighter to keep watch, I think I’d be inclined to resolve that with a Fortitude save to determine whether you get Fatigued, does that seem fair?)

“Then something else. Some other reason you won’t tell me.”

Paprika does her best not to sound bitter about this fact.

"Do the others know anything?

“…”

“Most of them are… aware of what I am.” As are you. “Just not… why. I don’t. Want to speak of it. Drakor has a better clue than… everyone else.”

It’s not… world ending if she just knows. I got over the fear instilled in me not to tell others years ago, it is just. I don’t want it to be a focal point, something people expect, something I am relied upon to do. Constantly. And something they tell others.
