The year is 2007, The month is May, the yearly disclosures have been done. Metem, an investment firm managing assets counted in the billions convenes its quarterly board meeting.
Welcome one and all to The Board a roleplay experience run by yours truly.
What is The Board really?
The Board is a roleplay designed around you playing conniving members of the board, seeking to use Metem for your own personal gain. Sometimes this may be in line with the company’s best interests, other times, not so much. You will each have objectives to fulfill over the course of a financial year and some change. You will vote on overall proposals for how to respond to varying crises (Think King of The Castle) and attempt to fulfill your own personal objective. The setting is obviously mid-00s America. I will also provide a short biography of Metem Investments to help inform character creation
So how does this work?
To indicate interest simply say so in the thread, we will then collaborate on making a character with an objective that makes sense. I will be applying wisdom of the mod and hold final veto on a character being permitted. So don’t half ass it please. There will be a CEO, due to the character’s centrality to the experience they have been pre-selected, please congratulate @Atlas. We will discuss and decide on good session times together where we will all be on an actively rp. Those sessions will likely be based around the quarterly board meeting or some other event that a majority of the board members would be likely to attend, think golf tournament or some charity gala.
