hello i’m jason. no my last name is not mrrown (tho someone has thought that before!). i don’t remember the exact origin of how the name jason mrrown came about but i believe it was related to how i love cats. i don’t own any pets, tho i do hope i get a cat at some point in my life.
i grew up in california, went to college in the northeast majoring in biochemistry, graduated in 2024, and am now living in the DC area. i’m applying for graduate school this fall so soon enough i’ll be moving to a different location.
like ash and carbonated, my home community is qbcord. apparently my first qbcord game was in 2021, but i think i only really felt like part of the community around 2023 when i began signing up for more games. i’ve known of FoL’s existence for a while from arete and benguined, as well as some FoLers playing qbcord games (most notably may). a bit after speccing FAM5 i decided to join FoL (so less than a month ago). i definitely plan to play games on here at some point.
while in high school and college quizbowl (academic trivia!) took up a significant part of my headspace. quizbowl is strange in that it reinforces your prior interests and makes you feel rewarded for knowing things, while also exposing you to a bunch of cool new things that you might be interested in, but at the same time it subconsciously shapes the direction of topics you’re interested in, since by the nature of the game you’re drawn towards topics that tend to come up more in quizbowl. anyways i enjoy hearing quizbowl questions on history topics (especially pre-modern history- think ancient history and medieval european/medieval world) as well as biology and chemistry (by virtue of my major).
i think my music taste is fairly unusual (94% obscurify). i listen to very little pop music (tho i can recognize a decent number, i just might not know the song name or who it’s by). the majority of music i listen to is “soundtrack music,” meaning it’s from the soundtrack of a movie, a video game, or an anime. i used to listen to a decent amount of classical music, but that has dropped off quite a bit.
i don’t really play video games tbh, tho i am in the middle of a “hydra” playthrough of ace attorney me and some friends are doing where we play the games while doing voice acting for the characters. so far we’ve finished the first trilogy as well as the first apollo justice game and are currently in the middle of dual destinies. i also somewhat follow competitive smash ultimate and pokemon vgc on youtube.
i also play and follow basketball, and i find the strategy aspects super interesting. i’m from california so my team is the golden state warriors.
i’m not sure what my favorite movie is, but how to train your dragon (as seen by my pfp) is definitely in contention. i have yet to watch the live action remake (i really should ugh) but my expectations are naturally sky-high.

Hello. We’re collectively known as ACE. The emoji at the start of each line indicates which one of us is speaking. We are a high functioning case of something in the cluster of DID, OSDD, etc. (or we are on our good days at least).
Switching too often in a short timeframe causes headaches, we see our different approaches to things as useful, we’re fairly wild-west about who get to do what and how often bla bla bla, that’s the most of it. Oh wait, one more thing: We don’t typically call it DID because we’ve been stuck in some kind of NHS limbo, and still haven’t received any psychologist sessions (after being referred there from more pedestrian counseling) for SEVEN YEARS NOW.
In a mafia context you’re realistically just gonna see me (Ashley, ), the boy (Ashley′ (just call him Prime), 
) and maaaaaybe my sis (Anna, ) or the Lalafell (Lulubo, 
). On another day we might have included a sentence long description of each of our personalities here, but finding out live should be more fun, right?
But as for other miscellaneous details: we’re a rather sickly type that still tries to live our life at “the maximum volume we can manage” within that, frequently blasting past what our joints, respiratory system, or back might have to say about it. It isn’t the wisest way to do things, but too much rationality can be akin to chains, so…
Our history with mafia is playing a number of forum games in our youth, not getting to after that community when kaput, hosting some BOTC games in voice calls and IRL both, and playing in a somewhat bad discord text game earlier this month. We like social deduction stuff quite a lot, but I bet we’re gonna find we’re not that good at it compared to everyone here…?
