The beatings will continue until townplay improves - Mafia Wins

I instantly became evil when I was not sweating on a mafia game, conversion abilities got out of hand

I am accepting this beacuse I think it is the way to catch a wolf, which is what wins the game, I never solved on a mafia game why would I do it now

How does this make sense? How can there be players who are so “=rand” that we would keep ignoring them? Does this mean that if I were to rand Mafia in the future, I can get away with anything by not playing the game?

Yes.
The long-term solution to fixing that is to policy until they start generating AI content to avoid being policied as you are advocating for
The short-term solution which increases our chances of winning in this particular game is to ignore their existence and hope in our game the 82% chance they are town, they rolled town

Okay, but look back at Neon’s posts.

D1 “catching up” → plays the game (albeit slowly) → not PLed
D2 “catching up(?)” → does not play the game (essentially), but not PLed “because others were scummier than =rand”
D3 doesn’t make a single game-related post → not PLed because of same reason as D2

…do you really not see the issue here?

If this is how “logic” works, then all games would converge into a world nobody is playing the game they signed up for. (At least, not after D1~D2.)

I mean I’ve not PLed him not because there’s scummer people but because of the reasoning above
there’s an issue to every approach you take with Neon. it’s pick your poison.
generally it’s not as big of an issue it is in this game because you’d have more players who are obviously their alignment but the two players I identified as obvious town got killed off during the night

I… I just wanna cry, man.

What is this criteria?

Volume tell. I come from a primitive site where efficiency was non-existent. (Though as of present, that is no longer the case…)

In the olden days, the more one speaks, the more likelier it is that they are Town. This criteria is still stuck in my mind despite it clearly being obsolete.

Something I am considering is that I’m only wolfreading more active slots subconsciously. For example, my pushes consist of Soweli and Gummy (and you, by extension).

I think that doesn’t usually show up as a problem, because most of my games aren’t like this. I haven’t learned how to read slots off of only a few posts and evaluate them fairly to higher posting slots, because those with more posts will almost always be easier to wolfread because there’s more posts to read. (They’d also be easier to townread with more posts, but that’s not relevant.)

I thought this was true and thought about it for a while, and what it meant for my solve of you/Zone… but after thinking, I (independently of that thought) started to reevaluate Zone.

My current position is that you’re paired with Childe. I can make points from the conclusion to support my hypothesis, but that’s poisoned science. For example, it is notable how you treat Childe as different from other slanking slots… but I only thought of that after thinking you two might be paired.

Clarity.

It did not arrive very well, unless it’s about as clear as mud. I thought being correct would have obviously helped a lot and that being wrong would help lead me on the right path. I considered myself a fine villager (prior to this game, which is making me doubt that thought) so I believed that even if I was wrong, it would help me.

I think it has. I was firmly townreading you at the end of Day 2. I think your point about being alone because I’m wrong is moot, considering my position currently is very different from what it was going into N2. In other words, I’ve already reevaluated, and I still am.

so how have I gone from being firmly townread to today’s execution for you?

I don’t understand this argument. Childe had posted a reads list before, I think. I haven’t verified this, but if it says that it thinks Soweli’s a wolf, then what’s terrible about it?

the fact the only thing they’ve posted regarding soweli’s alignment is putting them at the bottom of their readslist and then not elaborating?

put soweli at the bottom of their readslist, lurked EoD, voted soweli - got them executed and then left
if childe is a wolf then lol

I did post a lot of my process earlier. I went back to the end of Day 1 and looked at the votecounts. I believed that you would be the most likely wolf given what we knew already.

I might have posted more, I’m not sure; but I do remember coloring the votecounts.

It’s about up to par with the bar this game has set, in my opinion. It seems like this game is more of a light game.

and what exactly is your analysis of the votecounts during Day 1 and how they make me mafia?

I mean, hey, if you’re town, I was still able to find you in this environment. If you’re a wolf, then you’re doing what you’ve got to do. It seems to be the meta here.
