its the first 2 hours of the game and if w!jason gets the jitters visibly in thread immediately during the shitpost and silly part of d1 he should get on some anxiety meds. i haven’t seen this from him tho.

I would now/this game bc I know it’s my town meta to do it, I probably did it in grande ideas mafia too if you really feel like metadiving me
(independently I’m like feeling kinda burned from tutuu townreading me last game, but [long spiel about thoughts not worth getting into right now])
uhh the initial wolfread was a game I’ve been playing w jason on gth-ing alignment off openers, the only thing that’s pinged me so far on hippo was the confident townread on alexis, but then I liked his questioning on alexis despite the townread, so I don’t think I’m scumreading him (maybe I was earlier? but then you townread hippo, and not that I’m townreading you, but I’m not scumreading you yet (?), so shrug he’s fine I think)
definitely feel weird about alexis’s solve, I townread chomps’s instant vt claim but haven’t thought much about his posts since. forgot who the not willow person was. willow always feels easy to slot into like any team though regardless of her alignment
don’t know how I feel about shending and if general negative comments are biasing me. playstyle wise I think it’s all like vacuum okay/something I can see coming from me. I’m weirded out by the townread on me bc while valid it has the clevery angle that gives me tutuu flashbacks again (but could just be town I guess) – I’m okay trusting his ishmael read esp if jason is
jason is like fine, I was pinged by the same ash post, he’s not like obvtown to me at the moment but there’s time for that to happen
ash I’ve wrongly sussed for pingy d1 posting before, so while I guess I’d be fine voting him right now, I think there’s a decent chance I’m wrong. say more things ash :(

i have been treating alexis as town thus far because he is playing pretty aggressively and overreaching in a way that will make it very hard to double back later if he’s wolf

I think a lot of this is just that I haven’t been neutering my language this game?
Normally, I punctuate it with ‘like’ and ‘well’ and ‘uh’ to imitate more casual speech, or I end with, “Does that make sense?”, or I open sentences with “I feel like”, or I frame most of my stuff more as questions. For example, from Grande Idea:
I guess just to clarify, I get the argument you’re making - “Ash is attempting to undermine Jason’s townreads on Willow and Meow in furtherance of a mafia goal to ensure those two can potentially be misexecutions.” - and in a vacuum, the post seems to be gunning for that, but within the context of the wider ISO, I don’t feel that I was actively pursuing that as agenda?
Like, if I were attempting to really push them into the PoE, I wouldn’t have townleaned meow later on, and I would’ve pushed Willow in some shape or form. If it were my intention to undermine, I’d have approached my following messages differently. Does that make sense?
I haven’t made the intentional choice to approach this game differently; I think I’m just tired, so that step of toning things down is out of operation.

I kinda hate how I see Chomps making really legitimate critiques about Alexis’ play, and then I go, “Hm. This doesn’t feel like how I remember Chomps playing D1, even when under suspicion. Is he serious about those points, or is he just salty he got caught? CFTWR? Should we PoE him?”
Mafia brain is destroying me.

I am projecting 2021-me onto Alexis and filing them as a strong townlean. I cannot imagine mafia playing like this, especially on D1.

@diafiasco, do you mind if I ask what your approach to playing mafia as wolf would be on FoL?
Asking because I’ve been having a semi-difficult time parsing it.
- My impression from the QBCord games I’ve backread is that you generally low-post and mostly fluff-post D1 on QBCord as both alignments, which speaks to a site difference given your performance in Frieren Mafia.
- There is some semblance of postcount polarization? But it’s a difference of around 14 posts as mafia versus 28 as town, so I’m not putting a lot of weight there.
- Your mafia game on FoL has strong parallels to your Tintin Mafia D1 performance given that you were pushed off the bat in both games. I know that game felt like a departure from your usual performance as mafia on QBCord, so I’m imagining April Showers as being a departure from your theoretical FoL wolf meta.
I recognize the shortcomings of self-meta, but I still think it’d be useful for understanding how to approach your slot going forward.

had a fleeting echo of a similar thought on the post about how chomps was not going to tunnel, but I think it wasn’t a really a read I had any confidence in whatsoever. I don’t remember how chomps played d1 last game besides both jason and I thinking he was kinda sus, but maybe I’ll check it out when I get the chance
