my general sense of the game rn is that it’s kinda stagnant and ever since alexis subbed out we haven’t really had a catalyst to generate meaningful interactions

i feel like my grasp on individual slots rn isn’t great so i’ll give in and open up some isos

wondering what we should do with willow. we could continue pushing her to give reads, or give her a day so she can become more readable d2 with flips and mech info. what do people think?

I like the first line, second line is whatever, third line is phrased awkwardly, and I see why it pinged people. I agreed with the sentiment, however & I think it’s a can of worms that I appreciate jason at least trying to open up instead of ignoring it like I felt like everyone else was doing

not really a soft defense, but yeah i’m not really sure what continuing to wagon willow will do to advance the game. I know you’re a fan of factoring in information when deciding who to wagon, and if willow isn’t going to commit to giving d1 reads, then idk what info we gain from that

yeah i think this is a bad wolfcase and barwe coming out strongly to defend shending, saying that “i tunneled him bc of the microanalyzing in our last game, people are scumreading shending for similar reasons this game, here’s why it’s nai” is actually pretty towny

reason why i like shending a lot here is bc they’ve basically townread me for the reasons i’d expect myself to be townread, and i like how they’re still continuing to engage with others and evaluate slots and not really focusing on defending themselves

Ngl this post feels particularly agenda’d. Most of today shending was a leading wagon, if not the top wagon, and I didn’t want to vote there bc that makes the gamestate even more stale. I started the willow wagon, but she hasn’t given us much to work with even after getting wagoned so I decided to look elsewhere.

I think it’s p likely one of [alexis/youbie, ish, dia] is a wolf

If alexis is a wolf making an early powerwolf play to establish thread control, i think wolves would be more self-conscious of joining the wagon since it was started by a wolf

If alexis is town, I think it’s easy for wolves to just follow his push and jump on bc of how strong it was. If shending is a wolf they get cred, if shending is town most of the blame falls on alexis and not them.

I see where willow is coming from, but at the same time snow saying that makes them look p bad, especially the lack of desire to solve part. In frieren mafia snow was much more concerned about pretending to backread and look like they were engaged in the game, so i think this lack of care is more likely to be town than not

I think this is towny? From a skim of dia’s iso they talked about how they disliked ash’s townread on me, and that ash shouldn’t be townread for prodding people and asking questions, then moving on to other slots*. I think ash’s response here, omgusing and perceiving dia’s push as being stronger than it actually is, is his town paranoia manifesting. And to borrow a read from shending, it tracks tonally with his post in 441.

*speaking of which, dia dropped their wolfread on ash and hasn’t really progressed there, which is kinda interesting to note

onto pushing dia (who isn’t really a popular wagon by consensus, I think? but is currently voting willow)

Well also bc in another game i was spectating i saw a similar situation come up where someone said they were bad at d1s and worked better with mech/flips and other people decided to give them a pass for that d1 so i thought it might not be a bad decision here

feel like generally his d2 posting has felt genuine? ishmael push remains to be seen and its persuasiveness analyzed I suppose. I feel like the “giving her space” thing is likelier town, as wolf you feel the impulse to get the first “hit” in + less time left in the day, less time you have to convince someone to vote your push. big caveat to that is jason could just be lazy and not want to have to wolfcase ishmael if he’s wolf.

overall: feel like jason’s thought process has been pretty easy to track & relatively transparent/consistent. I think his only major sin is questioning the willow wagon and suggesting we resolve her later in the game rather than d1, and I think it is not evil behavior generally to be concerned about hanging lhf (especially if someone you scumread is pushing them). if you wrote a reallly good jason wolf narrative, maybe I could see jason playing wolf insanely well if I squinted, but I don’t really get what his agenda was at all (sure, it would have been “don’t get willow wagoned” in the second half of d1, but the first? he didn’t need to keep switching up his reads on players (ishmael, barwe) before they had even responded or do the meta-dives)

jason has always been town in the games I’ve seen him play on fol, so maybe he’s not as polarized as I expect or I am really conflating “in-character”/jason-flavored posts with towniness. I don’t think it’s impossible for jason to be wolf, but like, I’d probably sus shending before I sussed jason at the current stage. I guess I can’t factor out that jason, who knows how I townread him, is playing in such a way to pocket me because he knows I will defend him if I townread him bc he is like always misexecuted, and maybe that is pinging everyone else. but unfortunately, I still townread him, so there we go
