There's No Freaking Way I'll Be Your Mason! Unless... -- Night 2 (11/14)

This game is honestly pretty hard to keep track of right now. I keep looking out for clear signs someone is a wolf so I can shoot my shot at them. Maybe I should take a step back from thread to heal my thoughts.

@Frostwolf103 where are you king

if it makes you feel better, I’d argue that the players that actually know me best are jason, dia, and ash (and gummy but we had a total of 1 interaction and I don’t think she was backreading), and it’s more of a split in who thinks I’m scummy or not

I want to say this is only my second game with hippo (and he was wolf in the first)?

yeah basically. it’s a somewhat new concept to me as well, but I think it essentially goes that the first wagon to reach 3 votes will have a wolf in either the voters or the player being voted

I don’t really find it convincing in and of itself

I am also not very clear on this. I think frost was saying that he townread the three players on the shending wagon (alexis/ybw, ishmael, dia?), which meant it was a pure wagon, which makes it likelier shending was a wolf if three villagers were suspecting him.

ishamel’s read at the time was that shending/alexis were w/w. I don’t think I understood frost entirely at that time when he was talking about this, and finding the post is annoying right now, but he was talking about whether he thought shending was being bussed if ishmael was correct & there was a comment about how shending didn’t fit a lhf-style wagon?

I do feel like frost reads in the past were a little harder to buy the reasoning of – gummy has said something along the lines of if it’s harder to make sense of frost, he’s more likely town.

example is in a game (frieren) where his d1 reads were that two players who crossvoted early d1 were both town (true), and then at a point in d1 where 6 players were being voted, there was 1 wolf in there (I think it ended up being 2). but my point is the reads feel like things that are hard to just accept with the same conviction frost seems to have in them, which feels a little different than this game

frost usually makes reads off voting movement/wagons/etc. there was a lot of that going on d1 I think, so I’m kinda curious what he makes of it all

I’m also relatively new on this site (first game was last autumn), and I don’t know frost very well, so my mental model is likely pretty flawed, and I’m not sure how much to weigh them against other players’ reads, but not a lot of people are commenting on him so

Zenons law sounds like someone made it up a year ago and it somehow stuck ive never heard of it before lol

I think snow has just enough going for them that i wont hang them today

But for the record they remind me much more of frieren (mafia) then beatings (town) where they were pretty obv towning early on before they got hung by an obvious mafia push for some reason

I just dont know if their partner willows on the block for claiming bg snow decides that now is the time to randomly soft pr and ask for protection

Rereading his posts I think this is close ish to correct, but my issue is that what came before his ‘pure wagon’ → ‘shending wolf’ reasoning was ‘busser in the 3 shending voters, who is it’. As you say it’s like he came in with the starting point of pushing me, and then can warp this Zenons law after what he needs at the moment. Even if the law says its 1 wolf in the 3 people voting or the ppl getting voted, why cant it be me thats the town part and a wolf who’s pushing a villager?

And if I’m once again misunderstanding the law and it just says that the first person to get up to 3 votes is usually a wolf then I’m rewriting the lawbook this instance

But yeah that’s my issue here

Are you saying you were intentionally posting Wolfy in an attempt to specifically bait me out? Lol-you if so but it worked so ‘if it works it ain’t stupid’ applies ig

Agree with chomps/ish being pressured today

I think I found it in some backread of an old fol game and/or talking to jason who likes to read random old games

good point I didn’t think about

I like your snow points bc they make me feel not insane for not clearing them when everyone is townreading them (even if I’m wrong)

thanks

@Barwe

I’d like to talk a bit more in depth about your Hippo read. Most of the reasoning from your d1 wall seems personality based in a way that’s going back to hippo being funny/relaxed. Based on his experience lvl and the way he talks I HIGHLY doubt he’d feel frozen/serious even as wolf after having played for so long. And the last point about applying alexis meta logic to himself I also feel is NAI because it’s just hippo being selfishly interested in being psycho-analysed (i felt the same drive too to ask Alex to get to me but then he was gone).

And your updated thoughts has nothing about him, do you have any new thoughts there?
