There's No Freaking Way I'll Be Your Mason! Unless... -- Pregame (14/14)

There’s No Freaking Way I’ll Be Your Mason! Unless…

Hosted by @May and @Leafia, reviewed by @Luka.

Rules:

  • Follow the Forum Game Rules. (This includes: no excessive AtE, no personal attacks, no angleshooting, et cetera.)
  • You must meet the minimum of 15 posts every day phase or be replaced.
  • Paraphrase anything from outside the game thread and don’t refer to the exact timing of actions to avoid facilitating angleshooting.
  • Wisdom of the Mod will be employed: players who have shown a pattern of inactivity in games, including but not limiting to failing to meet the post minimum without reasonable cause in any of their previous 3 games onsite, may not be permitted to join.

Mechanics

Roles

  • This is a closed, low-power, standard game. Power roles will generally be based off of vanilla roles with non-vanilla modifiers.
  • There are no neutrals or abilities which falsify alignment checks.
  • All power roles in this game are flavoured after a character in There’s No Freaking Way I’ll Be Your Lover! Unless…, but not all potential flavours are used. Vanilla roles are boys.
  • Flavour is not alignment indicative, but role abilities are based on flavour. Flavour claims are allowed.
  • Role abilities are night actions unless stated otherwise.

Processing

  • Day phases will last 48 hours, night phases will last 24 hours.
  • Phases will change at 10:00:00 PM (6:00PM US Eastern Time).
  • Actions should be submitted in your rolecard and/or factional chat. Action submissions will lock one hour before the end of the phase.
  • There are no instantly-processed day actions.
  • Actions are processed with Natural Action Resolution and are not cancelled upon death.
  • Actions which say ‘target’ count as visits. Others do not. Actions stopped at their target (by a doctor, ascetic, rolestopper, etc.) count as visits. Actions stopped at their source (by a roleblocker, etc.) do not.
  • Players do not learn if they were roleblocked, though investigative roles will not receive feedback if blocked.

Voting

  • Self votes are valid. Votes for no execution are valid unless no execution won the vote the previous day.
  • If a player has more than 50% of the living votes, the day immediately ends.
  • Votes submitted at :59 are valid, votes submitted at :00 are not.
  • If a tie is reached, a random player from within the tie will be executed. No-execution wins ties.
  • Votes are locked in execute-or-lose/misexecute-and-lose situations, which are announced (roles are not taken into account when determining if it is ExLo).

Woulfing

  • The mafia may communicate privately on Discord at all times.
  • Mafia wins when they reach parity with the town. Town wins when all mafia members are dead.
  • The factional kill is optional, assigned, and multitaskable.

Example Rolecard

Boy

Boy: Town Vanilla

Your only weapons are your voice and your vote.

You win when all mafia members are dead.

Class, I have an announcement to make.

This morning, multiple copies of next week’s exam were found in a student’s locker. The school has launched an investigation on the matter, and we have reason to suspect this is not an isolated incident. Cheating has almost certainly occurred on previous exams, and this student likely had at least one trusted accomplice who has gained access to the teachers’ lounge on repeated occasions.

It’s important that we find the cheaters in this class before next week’s exam takes place, so from here on out, all students must report to this classroom during lunch and break periods for an investigation. We cannot search a student’s locker without probable cause, but if anybody would like to come forward and provide some evidence prompting a locker search, either publicly as a class or in a private tip-off, we will follow suit. Students who have been cleared of suspicion can take their breaks freely again – they will not be required to report back to our class meetings.

We will meet tomorrow for a group discussion on our suspects.

The pregame period starts now. Day 1 will begin 2026-03-27T23:00:00Z.
