@snow get in here and cc cop
We are not having someone counterclaim cop.
no
What you think of meow claim
I’ve thought through the optionality a lot, and I quite firmly believe that the N1 Ash + YBW shot scenario is more likely than the N2 Ash shot scenario. And I think the response to me jokingly proposing a Dia CFD would’ve definitely cemented them as being a better target than me, doubly so given that my D2 was kinda useless.
Can you link?
Night 3+ Alignment Cop.
Ignore this
If ash was standard bodyguard, bodyguarded someone, and both were shot at, both die
Nya.
I meant link meow’s message where they claimed it
silly claim
i have eod in 15 minutes in another lobby, I’ll brb and sit on meow’s claim in the meantime
Does ur role explicitly say what happen if both you and target are attacked at night? Like does way its setup hint that mafia have a possibility for extra kp at all
It doesn’t explicitly say anything, though I wouldn’t put too much weight into that (vaguely angleshooty to me).
Its not angleshooty to consider what your role means for other teams roles
When i roll mafia doc i know thers an sk or a few vigis flying around and factor that in to my strat you know
I still think my argument holds.
Im interested to see what others think
Meow always been in my top 3 wagons so i will vote on it just cop claim makes me worried
might not be very convincing but vaguely how my role has influenced my thoughts this game
having explicit masons feels too obvious given the title
I agreed bc I thought alignment cop + masons would be too strong in this game and then got scared it might suggest something about my role and tried to tack something on
random thought before I forget: if we think there’s a masonizer at play, and I believe they are typically weak, then I think it could be a good idea to ask people to do the pr cover thing before eod in case they die in the night without a clear target. I think the main drawback is a possible nk on someone to frame, but if enough people do it, it would lower the chances, at least n1? the other rough thing is if the hypothetical masonizer changes their mind during the night, but surely not…
hoped I’d get vanilla-read for bringing this up and not a pr
reasoning seems sound, I just feel cautious generally about “oh we can let mech resolve this” in case we can’t actually and then we end up with a bunch of the “hard to read” slots at the end that we kicked down the road
maybe this isn’t a d1 concern
I think dia in some later posts I skimmed shared similar worries which I again can see after they came out of their last beatings game with pigeon being pushed constantly to elo before being the miskill to lose
maybe I’m naturally too inclined to townread dia after a few consecutive town dia games but I don’t really sus them that hard yet
@Hippopablompoyeetus this is the closest I think I got this game to softing anything close to n3+ cop. I was serious here because I knew I at least would not be able to resolve willow early at all + it was a serious fear of mine that I would die before getting a check off
I said I’d hypocop ash haha, my reasoning was basically what I think jason’s reasoning is too – slot people have conflicting reads on even if I townread + slot that is nice to know the alignment is of bc they’ve posted a fair bit to possibly analyze
the original start of my “I’m going to play as vt as I can” plan
and then I spent d2 trying to roleplay as cop who had a greencheck on gummy but was actually vt trying to bait mafia when I broke progression on her a bit and it sounds crazier the more I think about this, so actually not very convincing but whatever. I stopped being as confident on gummy today bc I was legitimately afraid of misclearing her anyway and fake pr bluffing cover wasn’t worth it & I did think I’d just make it through to d4 in which I could figure what nerfed variant of cop I was most comfortable with
I remember trying to intentionally drop a line about how I was unaware that pr roles were modified but don’t even remember where anymore
uhh what else, I was trying to make it sound more obvious that I was vanilla by saying I was half-okay with dying over jason today right before the semi-redcheck bc I said that in frieren and wolves got that I was vanilla from it
This is true, but I think that it makes a lot of sense as a fakeclaim in the context of, “I don’t know what mech I have to fight against, so I’m going to claim a cop.”
life if I just claimed vanilla bc I figured claiming n3+ cop would just make me look worse and wouldn’t actually affect the mech
