Steward and Knight, incentivised to keep their pings alive more than the Grandmother.

Pixie, mad to backup power.

Bounty Hunter to avoid dying; causes a Townsfolk to turn evil, who would want to lie about that.

Choirboy and Huntsman.

Snake Charmer, possibly Cult Leader.

Fisherman and Artist: pretending to have spent their abilities to hold onto them until later.

Professor, Philosopher, any of those other once-per-game abilities.

Soldier, Fool, Tea Lady, Mayor, etcetera: lying about protection to keep important people alive and/or sink kills.

Ravenkeeper, Sage, Farmer: wanting to die at night.

Magician and Poppy Grower: once they claim, the game is up.

Atheist: the ST bullies them into silence.

Any outsider with a Fang Gu in the game, but especially Barber, Klutz, Goon, Heretic, Plague Doctor, Politician, Sweetheart, Mutant and Damsel.

Golem and Lunatic might arguably want to keep quiet as well.

Possible Townsfolk Characters

Knight You start knowing 2 players that are not the Demon.

Grandmother You start knowing a good player & their character. If the Demon kills them, you die too.

Bounty Hunter You start knowing 1 evil player. If the player you know dies, you learn another evil player tonight. [1 Townsfolk is evil]

Dreamer Each night, choose a player (not yourself or Travellers): you learn 1 good & 1 evil character, 1 of which is correct.

Mathematician Each night, you learn how many players’ abilities worked abnormally (since dawn) due to another character’s ability.

Engineer Once per game, at night, choose which Minions or which Demon is in play.

Assassin Once per game, at night*, choose a player: they die, even if for some reason they could not.

Scarlet Woman If there are 5 or more players alive & the Demon dies, you become the Demon. (Travellers don’t count)

Possible Demon Characters

Lleech Each night*, choose a player: they die. You start by choosing an alive player: they are poisoned - you die if (& only if) they die.

Vigormortis Each night*, choose a player: they die. Minions you kill keep their ability & poison 1 Townsfolk neighbor. [-1 Outsider]

Legion Each night*, a player might die. Executions fail if only evil voted. You register as a Minion too. [Most players are Legion]

Fabled Ability

Hell’s Librarian Something bad might happen to whomever speaks when the Storyteller calls for silence.

Fiddler Once per game, at night, the Demon secretly chooses a player of an opposing alignment; All players then vote which of these two wins the game.

Djinn Use the Djinn’s special rule. All players know what it is.

Stormcatcher Name a good character. If in play, they can only die by execution, but evil players learn which player it is. (Mayor)

Djinn’s Jinxes

Plague Doctor & Scarlet Woman If the Plague Doctor dies, a living Minion gains the Scarlet Woman ability in addition to their own ability, and learns this.

Engineer & Legion Only 1 jinxed character can start in play. If the Engineer creates Legion, most players become evil Legion.

tbf i think part of it was the professor and another part of it was me not paying attention and another part of it was me significantly underestimating the class. but also everyone was struggling so. i think it was the professor
