This also wasn’t the actual item and was a staff that gained the characteristics of a flying Broom from the witch feature which may have affected the passenger’s ability to control it and it may not have fallen until the end of my turn, but I had an extremely long discussion about it and if you’re knocked off, the broom absolutely tumbles to the ground.
uoure so welcome hi soweli
hi gray
Hi Jaiden have you been up to anything interesting lately
Besides the crime
Hi Jaiden
How r u doing today
ive been being mentally ill
see above
I did forget my fly rules there lol
Uh
I’ll be honest the item itself does not look made for combat
Bark
(Also for the initiative thing to matter you’d need to start combat in flight which I think would require intention)
Your apples have gone floopy
Like okay
If you know you are going into combat, and you’re going in flying on the broom, you are taking the risk that you get knocked prone in the air and thus fall
If you got ambushed, fair enough, but even then if you can reasonably expect that that might happen you know you’re taking that risk?
We were not on the broom for combat reasons. We had recently crossed a gap and neither myself nor my passenger had good athletics. I did not expect combat to begin almost immediately afterwards. I did not predict that the next combat would have enemies that could knock a character prone while being 20 feet in the air. I had virtually no agency or reason to be worried. I mean, I know now to get the fuck off of it when there are potential unknowns, but why would I expect that scenario to play out lol
Mate I did not know the context
I said “if you can reasonably expect it”
You couldn’t
guh
Yeah I know lol. It’s fine. The situation was deranged.
Comfy times will be coming because I said so
