i dont think the point tuutu is making is that āit would be a good thing if these people were beatenā, rather that they felt powerless in the situation and literally got harassed and assaulted during it, along with seeing other people harrassed and assaulted. thats an incredibly frustrating situation to be in
there is no correct response bc its a super difficult situation to be in. honestly defending yourself isnt that bad a response imo but its also a lot easier said than done and could put you in more danger. the worst part about it is having to sit there and let it happen because you donāt have any other choice, and i imagine that is what tutuu was going through and having to deal with
