thx; I do think I should have stressed that some solutions proposed may be counterproductive. I encourage you to maybe write up a response in that thread on MU with that advice - or I can copy paste one over for you if you do not have an account on MU/credit you in a post where I add that information. I am drafting a response to the tone indicator thing as I believe my intent was not well understood.

Iām complaining about somebody doing something unreasonable to me because it was unreasonable. Iām not actually very incensed about this in the present moment, and Iām comfortable PERFORMING being incensed about it because I donāt really care anymore. Iād like the freedom to, like, complain about my ex, as is a common entertainment activity and my right as a human being, without weird, like, jokes invoking serious conversations we had in the past

Anyway continuing like streamer rant. If they had broken up with me in any of the preceding. Two. Months. That wouldāve been pretty normal and fine. That would be a normal human way to communicate with somebody. You date somebody and realise itās not going to work out and break it off.
But it was literally right on the threshold of me starting to feel, like, genuinely comfortable around them, it was as soon as I stopped constantly having in the back of my mind āwell thereās a solid chance this just immediately falls apartā, it was literally the worst possible timing
And they hadnāt ever brought up a single issue to me verbally before then! The first sentence I heard about this is āI think we should end this relationshipā. There were no conversations like āhey, Iāve been feeling unsure about this latelyā, there was no communication, they never brought up a single issue. Not even like āI wish weād spend more time together/more time apartā not a single complaint about the relationship. Perfect silence until then. Thatās soooo ridiculous
And all that would still be in the range of normal if poor communication if they didnāt starting dating somebody else the same day!!! Clearly premeditated!!!
