1/9 ref is worth far less than $550 MSRP, and I value the time that would be spent bludgeoning the pedestrian slightly more than 1 scrap.
I’m just glad that I wasn’t injured and that the guy didn’t steal my bag (it had my computer in there, and losing that would’ve been extremely bad).

I’ve heard stories of people getting assaulted while having their stuff stolen, so it could’ve been way worse.
