CAPTURE HIM
HE WILL HOST ON FRIDAYS
in addition, plenty of stories start with the hero barely surviving an encounter with one of the final bosses, so at least thise guys are smart and just got unlucky (and/or were only marginally smarter)
AND AT A TIME THAT DOESNāT REQUIRE ACTIVELY RUINING MY OWN SLEEP SCHEDULE
honestly mgr:r did do it quite well
the final boss of the game obviously isnāt gonna fight you beforehand, and the penultimate tries to do so several times throughout the game before his second fight but gets stopped
I have a friend in Moscow who wanders into the forest and had to show to the cavalery police that he is in fact taking pictures of squirrels and not of illegal packages hidden in a dangerous forest
Me when I try to mail a bomb to a literal bear
honestly half the time villains only rise to power because the people who arenāt the actual hero are fucking stupid and face them head-on, at which point they typically get bested by the villainās intellect or raw might
if the guards of your random town had experience in using guerilla warfare to overthrow a previous tyrannical ruler, iām sure they would function a lot better against the archetypical āI sit in my mansion all day and aura farmā villain
i am also completely talking out of my ass
Cuz in the northern Moscow forest thereās drug addicts who dig packages near a tree and takes a picture of the site.
this also serves as what sets the hero apart from the rabble in general a lot too, so
How so?
You want to conserve your strongest soldiers, and any experience the heroās gained from beating up your grunts is more than offset by their building exhaustion from dealing with those grunts.
you clearly havenāt fought a hero with unwielding determination and a holy step
i sāpose thatās true for the guards
but at the same time, not every henchman is a guard; a lot of them function better as assassins
Clover!!!
no iām pretty sure it was a different one
also yes this too
if your hero is a warrior, youād probably want the guard to clash against them, and send the aforementioned assassin to kill the cleric healing them
Correction: I havenāt fought a hero that has managed to cheat Death.
I donāt spend millions on lobbying them for nothing, after all.
Who on earth is more determined than clover?
this conversation has reminded me that i need to make more traps that create a skewer in the hero partyās friendship until it grows stronger than ever by overcoming adversity
