hmm, send the course description?
are they going to want you to know Latin (and if so, do you know Latin)
sounds like a banger id take that but my college experience is not the average college studentās experience
They said basic latin is helpful but not expected and itās open to anyone p much
(Idk latin)
I hear Latin is extremely useful to learn.
Ecclesiastical Latin or Classical Latin
(yes there is a difference)
the course description says āfourth century CE to ca. 1500ā, so probably mostly ecclesiastical? but theyāre similar enough that if they arenāt even requiring students to have any Latin Iād expect classical Latin to definitely be fine
see they said this in fourth grade Latin class but outside a handful of narrow fields I donāt actually think itās true (or, some of the supposed benefits are real-ish but can also be acquired by studying a language people actually speak)
yeah i just read a bunch of old documents and poorly translate them myself so the difference matters to me sometimes (it is entirely unimportant work and i do it to stave off insanity)
digitisation of everything is important. i love archivists.
My piercing became infected
Who couldāve seen this coming
Hey, so, why do the rules for playing forum games look like that? They tell a very interesting story about this forum, and I would like to know what this story is.
ive never been as in tune with this lane partner as this viscous was with me
dawg what does this even mean
its a bullet point list of 18 items
how is this significantly different from your expectations
The rules themselves seem reactionary and in-the-moment solutions to very specific problems. Whether or not they are, they appear to be that.
can you provide an example
Can t wait to see
One rare thing you donāt have a bad take one
