personally when I’m buying a watch I want:
- displays the date of the month
- water proof ish
- digital
- has a button that you can press to make it glow (for seeing the time at night)
these are all sufficiently cheap and easy to acquire that I usually also go for
- orange (the best color)

I think orange fans just tend to be evangelists, it’s a very distinct colour that’s not neutrally pleasant the way most other favourite colours tend to be. And more niche. So orange-likers build up complexes.
