which is weird but it seems to be the case?
Id feel hesitant to as well, in general i dont do it unprompted, but in this case it was really frustrating to me because she insisted i do it, she was also serious and ambitious about it, she wanted to monetize it eventually, or monetize being an author in general. I didnt wanna lie to her that i enjoyed her latest chapter
lose lose situation
She is capable of growing more resilient just like we all are but at that moment she didnât have the emotional resilience yeah
Amphoreus moment (surprised you didnât run into Cerydra/Hysilens).
cerydra/hysilens is held back by 3.5 sucking
I will fight anyone who defends it
âoh but cool reveal at the endâ thatâs precisely the problem
Fear (I liked it a lot, but I also have a high tolerance for bad pacing).
if they sliced off 1/3rd of the stuff from 3.7 and gave it to 3.5 then both patches would be much better received
I do think purple prose in an Appeal To As Many People Possible game is a bold choice, so maybe not lol
From a zoomed-out perspective, I like how 3.5 is structured.
The pitch of, âThe thing is one cycle away from actualizing, and Lygus will do anything in his power to stop you,â is an excellent narrative throughline in the same way that I liked how 3.0 gradually built up the complexity of its Nikador fights.
The problem is that it nixes both its âvying for Cerydraâs favorâ and its âonly one cycle to do thisâ plotlines far too early, and I feel like it doesnât give the thousand-year war against Lygus enough time to really sink in impact-wise. It also means that it ends up pushing all the Cerydra/Hysilens stuff to the Styxia section, which sinks (ha) the pacing hard.
Good things-wise, I really like the tribute scene, and I love that they hid Frozen Tides until that section, and I think they found a clever way to beat Lygus. I also think I came in expecting Hysilens to be a stopgap and was surprised how much I cared for her story afterwards.
yeah, but constructive feedback (even if itâs negative) is very different than an insult.
And I still stand by, if someone canât take a (friendly) negative feedback, they wouldnât be a succesful (or a happy) author. The first thing you will find you against the most as an author are the critics (and unlike a friend you ask for a feedback, they wonât be nice to you.)
Also probably to fanfic authors (with established characters) this is more likely to happen. (I donât really write fanfics or know anyone, who writes fanfics, so I donât know about this, tbh.)
I sorta find that people view criticism and insults very similarly
In theory thereâs a difference but itâs the tone that matters the most really
It did have hype moments and aura, so Iâm actually wrong itâs the best patch in history
A lot of Shaojiâs writing has, âI started writing and kept writing and at some point stopped and realized that I wrote ten pages,â syndrome.
Bro needs an editor.
truth nuke
I have embraced limbus and its âActually Getting to the Point in a reasonable amount of timeâ storytelling
