(General) Rules!
- Obey the Forum Rules and the Forum Game Rules! Just because this game is anonymous doesn’t mean we won’t hand over the identity of someone who violates them.
- Failure to perform actions for a phase will either result in your troops holding, retreating to what we would consider the worst possible province, or troops simply not being deployed.
- Failure to perform actions thrice will lead to you being subbed out of the game.
- Revealing your identity mid-game will result in an immediate sub out.
- These Rules can and will be updated at any time if need arises, but we will announce if such an event happens.
How to Play Diplomacy!
We encourage you to read this guide from playDiplomacy. We will still answer questions on specific questions not covered, but just read this and you’ll be covered in 95% of cases. To ask questions DM the host account.
PHASES
Spring Orders - 48 Hours
Spring Retreats - 24 Hours (skipped if unnecessary)
Fall Orders - 48 Hours
Fall Retreats - 24 Hours (skipped if unnecessary)
Builds - 24 Hours (skipped if unnecessary)
Communication Rules Between Players
Players are allowed to communicate privately during both the Spring and Fall Orders phase, but not during Retreats and Builds. Add the hosts and the host account to any private communications, both for our personal enjoyment and to ensure no rules are broken.
You may communicate in the public main thread at any time.
How To Join!
If you wish to play, simply DM the host account.
If you wish to backup, DM the host account.
If you wish to spectate, DM the host account.
Slots will be first come first serve, so if you do not make it in, we will ask if you would like to be a backup.
Again, due to the anonymous nature of this game, please refrain from publicly announcing or hinting at your involvement with this game.
A Note From The Hosts Before We Begin
Diplomacy by its very nature is a game that involves lying, betrayal, and two timing. We are attempting to lessen the impact on interpersonal relationships by running this game anonymously. If the thought of lying to someone on a more personal level doesn’t sit right with you, we do ask you avoid taking part in such a game.
