note, however. that flashy university does not have to equal ivy or a uni where you have to take out a mortgage to go to. there are a lot of prestigious state schools out there (albeit not in utah, unless you consider BYU a different kind of prestigious)

also (at least in stem) most employers don’t even actually look at your resume. gets scanned for buzzwords and maybe if you’re lucky you end up in the shortlist of resumes they actually look at

oh for context going on a mission is a mormon thing

Also a good photo helps a lot. (At least in my country.)

I got a lot more call for interview after I submit my CV with a photo.

The thing is usually the meetings are via zoom or something, and its not the guy interviewing you that usually hires you

Its usually some boss who doesnt know shit and who is the type of person to be impressed by university name or having a math degree as 2nd major
