if you make a test where an Average Student In The Class, or even a ~75th percentile student, can get close to a perfect score, the test isn’t going to do a very good job of differentiating between people at the upper end of the Ability To Do Your Class

anyways regardless of how you handle curves it seems obviously really stupid to distribute school funding based on how well people do on tests designed and administered by the same school
like even if the tests aren’t curved it’s not hard to just make a test that’s really really easy and nearly anyone at your school can get a good score on

IT class in hs were the best. we were split in two groups. both teachers gathered in one of the computer rooms to drink coffee together. me and the boys would play games. the girls would either browse facebook or talk about stuff or drink coffee outside

we used to play poker for pocket change between each class too. i kept a notebook of who owes who how much money. they trusted me the most

music classes (up until middle school-ish i dont think we had it later) it was group singing only. we didnt have instruments. teacher would play a recording from a boombox. then the trick was to lip sync to pretend youre singing and make some noise just in case

Compared to then? not at all. I worked to the bone back then so now I can relax more. Now I almost always get to sleep, get the internet, can relax even while working, have financial security, it doesnt compare to hs.

Back then if I had an hour of free time I would consider that a luxury, and realistically I only ever got a few hours a month, which I would spend with my best friends.

i kinda disagree with this lol. this is r/applying2college core thinking. i fucked around in high school and am doing fine lol. if you’re really an achiever you can go to Bumfuck Tech College University and be a big fish in a small pond and take advantage of the resources there

Most senior businesses majors ive i know at my 87% acceptance school who actually try have jobs lined up when they graduate for 60k+ a year, some of them more (or less) depending on local CoL

update the bombing was actually not a firebender plot! I thought it was tying into the Mechanist-but-randomly-in-Omashu subplot but it was actually tying into the Jet-but-randomly-in-Omashu subplot. however given Katara’s state of information at the time I still feel like she should have been less confused
