It is very rare to have a player that is extraordinarily willing to engage with a gameâs flavor, to dissect and analyze it obsessively in a way that only the GM themselves has done. A game designers puts a part of their soul into every game they make, and itâsâŚaffirming to have someone who is more than willing to listen to and dig into the inspirations that drive you to make your things.
It is terrifying when a player takes that appreciation, takes their growing understanding, and turns it on its head. A game designerâs role is to fit the flavor to the role; a dedicated player fights to fight the role to the flavor, then translate that flavor back into their role. There are precious few times when a game can accommodate such improvisation, held together by pure chaotic energy and twenty Fandom page tabs.
But when it comes together just right, itâs hard to deny that your approach to games is truly something special.

Day Action | Must be used in first 12 hours of the Day
You have a variety of things at your disposal in the auditorium:
- About three hundred chairs, as per a quick estimation. Theyâre bolted to the ground and to each other, but they are comfortable to sit in.
- A fire alarm. Despite your initial excitement, you can see that one of the wires has been cut, preventing it from working.
- A one-liter metal water bottle, about a third of the way full of water. It has a company name plastered across it in bright orange.
- A podium with two drawers at the front, with a microphone. In the first drawer, there are notes for a sponsor appreciation ceremony, including multiple awards and outlines for a proposed âBig Gameâ collaboration. In the second are budget proposals, none of which look pretty. A number of official-looking emails for FoL University faculty, including the dean, are on these sheets.
- A backpack with a Muichiro Tokito keychain and a three-digit number lock, whose passcode is luckily 000. Inside is a computer (youâre able to log in with âpasswordâ) and its charger, a single wimpy pencil and a decrepit eraser, a beat-up scientific calculator, a mostly-blank 5 subject notebook, and a melted Kit Kat bar.
- A dystopian fantasy YA novel. Youâve read the last three pages and found it horrendously boring.
- A projector beaming onto a screen at the front of the auditorium, as well as a control panel for it. There are a lot of buttons and switches, but youâve been able to figure out how to turn the projector on and off, as well as how to control the volume. Youâve also figured out how to connect the computer to the projector should you wish to do so.
- Four wooden stools, presumably from the sponsor event. Unlike the chairs, you can move these freely.
During the first half of the Day, you can submit a flavor justification for one in-game Night action you would be able to take using these items, as well as any others you may receive throughout the course of the game.
At the end of the Day, the hosts will give you a version of this ability with modifications for realism and balance (and potentially a price), and it will be added to your rolecard for you to use at Night. The more powerful an ability, the more likely it will be to be modified or have a heavy downside.
Battery Swap
Immediate Night Action
Everybody likes licking batteries, right? Energize target player to give them 1 Universal Charge. If the target player is allied, make them immune to being Strong-willed, Overwhelming, and Unstoppable until the beginning of the next Day. You may only target each player once per game. (If a player is immune to a tag, an ability with that tag will resolve as if it did not have it, and they cannot gain that tag while immune.)
