Let me break it down bit by bit to see if it’s even possible
1 - the first X actions that target me will fail
2 - for any actions that fail, i will learn who visited me
Ascetic could explain point 1 somewhat but again weird stuff there since it makes all abilities except killing ones fail? Commuter / Hider can also explain it too but then it’s a X shot commuter which is possible until you see point 2.
Loud (Possible Other section) explains point 2 somewhat but it’s like… the exact opposite of it which is weird. Since we’re using characters in a list of vanilla roles which is already linked.
It’s like the claim is a Ascetic/Commuter/Hider combined with an opposite Loud modifier / a passive self targeting watcher.
But it’s also early enough that I think good players could / maybe would lie? IDK
I think the substance of the post itself isn’t that unnatural? For context this was a 10p game and dia, beancat, and carbon were neighbors at the start of the game.
For example, t!beancat also expressed something similar
don’t understand what it means for dia to seemingly unknowingly? claim role that isn’t possible in this setup
like the willow mechposting
didn’t like a bunch of 36501’s initial reads feeling like they were reading people very differently than me/gummy (scumread on catbae, jason; townread willow, dia?). later posting (summarizing dia specifically) I liked though
I liked the singular frost post asking me about jason for no reason
in seriousness it was also the wording and timing of the post, revealing it like a big bombshell and trying to initiate a bunch of focus on it + treating it like a given that everybody else will believe the hood definitely contains a wolf
dia later talked about it like it was a mech 50/50 and the game was balanced around town shooting into the hood
this is too confident for a villager imo. though when i read the game (on my first day of fol school of course) i paid much more attention to dia’s post than beancat’s + carbon’s so idk if they also did it and will prove me instantly wrong
also this post flagged me instantly when i was reading the game before i knew dia’s alignment (on my first day of fol school) so again i think dia has tells that aren’t “gets into the game too fast” and i think jason’s read isn’t super good
I mean, it’s just the truth x3
You know about our previous game with me dying early and I’m kinda expecting there’ll be some spicy combinations so it’s a shame that Leafia last game was essentially a 1 shot protective (post my death) and is claiming VT now, plus it’s kinda irritating that Leafia would out as VT (If truthful) because it makes Leafia much less likely to be attacked during the night whereas those with more vanilla characters being targeted could allow those of us with stronger mechanical abilities to survive longer and make use of said abilities.
This is something I agree with you on. It’s strange but I don’t know if it’s alignment indicative or someone just trying to claim to generate discussion. I’d talked about it in my previous post as requested by jason.
similar, my vibe was just that willow likes thinking about game design and roles generally
don’t think willow really. made any social reads in grande idea though, so she’s got that going for her right now
well, she pushed marluna slightly d1 I think, but like, I think it was off mech metagaming? her push on you felt similar to her push on me when we were somewhat mutually bussing, so there’s an actual social read being made? I don’t think she really made any other reads that game
in contrast, she was definitely making town/scumreads in the madoka game
I think I also made a post about whether the hood was a trap or not/if we were expected to shoot into it; I guess I lacked the same confidence, but I don’t think it’s wolf-only thought
but also I think I’m just nitpicking at semantics or whatever because you actually notice the more social? context/mindset behind the posts more than the substance necessarily? I really liked how you explained your earlier dia neighborhood read here/it made a lot more sense to me than the individual posts you quoted
