I can understand this confusion, If I had been Mafia, arranging a guaranteed D1 mislynch doesn’t help the Mafia when I would be heavily suspected and likely lynched the next day. It would be safer to remain in the shadows and subtly nod suspicion into an innocent player’s direction.

This reasoning kind of makes sense if you ask me so Pigeon and Magnus are probably unaligned.

I have expressed a decent level of uncertainty on cloned’s alignment… I’m surprised this is the impression that you have.

I don’t mind the initial content, but the way he applauds everyone simply for calling him out, even when most of the accusations against him don’t concern the validity of his reasoning which is what he claimed to be looking for, doesn’t seem… real.

I didn’t say that was your intention. I said that was what you were doing, and that it doesn’t match your intention. You intended to find out if people picked up on your made up reasoning, but then you end up townreading people just for saying that you “feel off”. This is what gives the impression that you are trying to pass of a wolfy post as “chill it was an RT!!!”, because you are trying to scrounge for results to make it appear fruitful.

I’m pretty confident Cheese isn’t reading my posts… or Aelin’s posts, for what it’s worth. They accused me of attributing motivations to them when I was merely pointing out their intention didn’t match with their actions. They then also accused me of defending Brad while quoting two of my posts defending Magnus, a different player.

However, cheese making things up in order to validate tunnels he knows he must fake in order to imitate his town meta is… squarely within his wolfrange.

I’ll grant you that in more recent posts (also below) you’ve expressed some reservations about reading cloned, but you came off as pushing him pretty hard when I wrote that.

While at this point I think clonedcheese’s “RT” is looking more likely to be a wolf “it was actually an RT” moment, I’m not sure why he would feel a need to do this as a wolf. He wasn’t largely scumread for his posts, and even received townreads from some people. It’s possible he thought his made up post surrounding Pigeon’s meta would come back to haunt him, but otherwise it doesn’t really make sense.

This is why I am undecided on cheese’s “RT” because despite the intention not really aligning with his actions, I don’t understand why cheese would feel a need to do this as a wolf when he was townread as much as he was wolfread for his posting. An entire reversal, as you put it, may not be warranted to make as a wolf.

This is interesting. The only comment on my alignment you have made is a townread of one of my thoughts. What led you to this conclusion?

You seem to be backing off of cloned (for the time being) in a way that doesn’t feel natural to me. You pushed him pretty hard, at least in my eyes, and then you’re suddenly reconsidering your read on him without much of a progression.

That said, this read is also dependent on cloned’s alignment, and your other posts have been ~decent, so you’re not my main priority rn.

Why do you consider what magnus did to be scummy if you did it too?

1. I gave justification
2. Magnus seemed to know what the VC was and did it anyway; I hadn’t looked at the VC at the time (although I knew people were generally sussing Leafia, sorry)

Also, Magnus voted when Leaf was at L-3, which is a lot more reasonable than L-2 imo

I’m heavily accused for voting Leafia just before Pigeon casts a vote on Leafia, sending her to L-2 in a majority vote. In other words, I’m suspected for aligning votes seemingly randomly with another player, as if I had been communicating with someone in a Mafia chat. That thought is in the back of everyone’s minds, or at least the people suspecting me.

i appreciate the explanation, this makes sense as well as outlines a concern that was, in fact, in the back of my head.

i question this- not everyone leading a vote on a townie is mafia. it obviously wouldn’t help your standing, but in mafia who you vote isn’t as telling as why. your immediate reaction to this hypothetical scenario is telling.

I didn’t know exactly how many votes were on Leafia at the time, since the VC was outdated. Two or three players had voted following the previous VC, I noticed those votes and forgot to add them onto the current votecount as I knew it.

this reasoning, though something i find sound and agree with, isn’t AI either way.

i appreciate being acknowledged, as well as the effort. though this post doesn’t earn you a townread from me.

The reason I remarked upon your sassiness was not to be cutesy, I’m commenting on a trait, specifically a playstyle trait. Your sassiness was specifically Towny. Why? Because your expression demonstrates a quality in tone of indignance, authority, and assertiveness

alright, i am mollified. though i have one question for you: powerwolfing is a term for a reason, what differentiates town authority from wolf authority?

something i particularly like about this response is that while Frog’s original comment about my sass was something i could attribute to a wolf fluffing their post, Frog wasn’t scrambling to make up a reason for it. they explained it in an easy to follow way i find indicative of a genuine read.
