Setup Information

1. There are 12 village-aligned humans and 3 bad bad evil guys.
2. This game has an open, VFM setup. You can find the full list of roles below.

You are the [Human] Engineer .
On Night 2 and Night 4, you may analyze a fellow player’s dimensional waves, revealing whether they are TOWN or GNOSIA.
You win when all threats to humanity have been eliminated.

You are the [Human] Coroner .
Each night, you may examine the body of a player put into cold sleep the previous day, revealing whether they were human or Gnosia. In the game this role is weirdly called the Doctor but you don’t heal people so I changed it…
You win when all threats to humanity have been eliminated.

You are on [Human] Guard Duty .
You remained on the ship during the Gnosia infection. Once per game, you can bring this up to the crew, confirming yourself as a definite human.
You win when all threats to humanity have been eliminated.

You are a [ Gnosia ]. ( x2 )
Having invaded the ship, your goal is to integrate all the human crew with Gnos. If the red text wasn’t an indicator (or you’re red-green colorblind), this means you are mafia.
You win when the Gnosia make up at least half of the ship, or nothing can prevent this from happening.

You are the [ Gnosia ]Anti-Cosmic Follower.
A disciple of Gnos, you are a human on the side of the Gnosia. Unlike the game, you do know who the Gnosia are because you asked politely.
On Night 1 and Night 3, you may obtain the full role text of a player of your choosing.
You win when the Gnosia make up at least half of the ship, or when nothing can prevent this from happening. This does not include yourself.

3. The Engineer and the Coroner will receive action feedback, while the Gnosia’s cop action will reveal to them full role cards. I will not lie to you about the result of these actions. The Gnosia will not explicitly be told if their action went through. Sample feedback:

“The person you investigated is/was a HUMAN/GNOSIA.”

4. Flavor is not alignment-indicative, and character names are unpaired from roles. I will rand both at the start of the game.
5. Due to the finite nature of the role set, the Gnosia do not have fake claims.
6. The factional is both unassigned (since there are no roleblockers) and mandatory. If no factional kill is submitted, the kill will be determined randomly from among all townies. Also, I’ll be really disapppointed, so please submit one.

Gameplay Information

1. If you are a VILLAGER , submit your action (if you have one) in your role PM. If you are GNOSIA , you can submit the factional via Discord.
2. If you are in Gnosia chat, you may communicate in it for as long as it is open and you are alive.
3. This game will have 48-hour day phases and 24-hour night phases. Hammer (ending the phase early) will occur once 50 percent of living players, plus one, have voted for one player.
4. You cannot no-execute.
5. You cannot vote yourself, either, but why would you?
6. This game is FLIPLESS - that’s what your Coroner is for.
7. The action deadline is two hours before phase change. I’m willing to accomodate you if you goof up one time or there’s an emergency, but don’t test me.
8. I will tell you when the game reaches (M)ELO. At this time, votes will be locked when cast (so you can’t switch).
9. There is no anti-claim.
10. In the event of a TIE VOTE, I will flip a coin (or a three to fifteen sided die) to determine which of the leading wagons goes over.

Flavor Information

1. Gnosia is a 2019 visual novel made by like three guys where you play a bunch of rounds of mafia to progress a non-linear narrative. It’s like Raging Loop if Raging Loop was not steaming poo poo.
2. You do not need any familiarity with the source material to play this game, but I’d recommend checking this one out! There’s also an anime adaptation that aired this year, solid 8 out of 10.
3. The setup you are playing with is lower-power than the setup you will find in the actual game, which is customizable but at base has 5(!) evils in a 15p game. However, Gnosia is a single-player game, so I’m interested to see how it holds up when everyone has agency.

Gnosia is also a fun Social deduction game for the Switch that I’m a huge fan of too. It’s also single player. I highly recommend checking it out. /in

No bug role I see. If anyone is wond e ring what that does, if the bug role is alive at the end of the gsme, it wins and everyone else loses. Gnosia can’t kill it at night either but if checked by the engineer, it dies. It’s a lot of fun to be.

Yeah there’s a couple of differences overall
The Doctor is being called Coroner.
Instead of claims being directly recognised and only evils being able to counter claim (Sans Guard Duty), technically anybody can do.
There’s 1 Guard Duty as an innocent child instead of two as innocent child masons.
And there’s no Bug

I do appreciate how Guard Duty mentions “Definite Human” and wonder if we’ll be able to work out any “Definite Enemy” peeps uwu - Though, since there’s no Guardian Angel, I have a feeling that the Doctor (Coroner) and Engineer are less likely to “Step Forward”

I’m posting here so I can consider if to In or not depending on the count. As I’ve got a trip to which IDK what the WIFI situation will be early-ish next month
