Last Stand of the Virtuous 5.5 [Jarek Redux] - DAY 5 (6/17)

relying on the hosts to do things for us is a bit hard to manage
plus playing around that, especially if we think it may be scummy that they aren’t doing so, may feel weird

thank you for your statement, rhea
i believe i’m starting to read kii now

Let me guess, you’re thinking either the terms ‘Frustrated Towny’ or ‘Wolf who’s annoyed because he’s been caught for the wrong reasons’ as I’ve seen both of those argued for me before.

i mean given that post was upset, yes

Fair also do u have the mech claims bullet board thingie can u paste it

Did you wolfread Amelia independently of Zone_Q11’s case, or did you just like the case and think it deserved recognition?

Atlas’ handy dandy mech chart

Zone claims an Invest that can kill… of which there are none, except headhunter. he claimed to be fakeclaiming later.

Atlas claims Paranoid King

Chomps claims some protective that’s basically a doctor.

Was this meant to be sent in your wolf chat?

sigh
yeah.
it doesn’t seem like any other wagons are gonna come out so

I like this initial reaction from min here: it is an instant challenge to a stronger player, something that a wolf might hesitate in.

I am of two minds on these posts. I can see why somebody may townread them, but I also do not actually see why a wolf would not make them. It does make me a bit hesitant on wolfreading Kelsier (alongside his reaction to my push on him, which I found… okay), but it does not make me townread him.

I like this post in form and shape in theory, but in practice, it feels rather wolfy. It is odd that Frostwolf103 showed no real-time reactions to any posts while he was presumably catching up – that is not the type of player I remember him to be. In addition, many of the “reads” are mere summaries:

Neither of these contain any analysis whatsoever and they are both neutral reads. Frostwolf103 in general fails to find any of the townreads I have found, except for perhaps Zone_Q11, who he townreads for “tryharding” rather than… what I actually found towny. Of course, players do not have to agree with me, but it does not feel like Frostwolf103 is trying to solve here, more that he is listing things that players have done. He is generally a player I find to be rather effective and I have decent expectations from him, so this is disappointing and disconcerting, to say the least.

Amelia here is placed in orange, presumably indicating a wolfread, which I have found myself agreeing with, but there is no explanation as to why.

This vote is also very strange. It seems unaligned with Amelia – it certainly does not attempt to take credit for an original read in the way of a bus. It almost feels like Frostwolf103 decided he wolfread Amelia because he saw Zone_Q11 place a vote there, but proceeded to pretend he had a wolfread there all along. I do not really townread Frostwolf103 anymore in light of this.

I don’t feel that the problems with Frostwolf103’s post here were difficult to spot, especially when the post places a vote toward Amelia, but I do at least appreciate that Amelia has immediately pointed them out without worry. They do not seem to especially fear Frostwolf103.

The dissonance here is so strong and so different from my previous experience with Frostwolf103 as a player that I am actually going to cut this catch-up post here and place a vote.

VOTE: Frostwolf103.

I will resume reading shortly, but for the time being, this is my preferred vote.

I have a feeling Amelia is not town.

You are wrong, I did have real time reactions before, but not with you.

To elaborate on why I feel so strongly about this read: nothing Zone_Q11 did especially stood out as “contributing a lot”, and I do not see why his vote on Amelia specifically would be something to be respected at all. It was called out as “random”. I have spoken a lot about looking for behaviour which does not make sense, which does not track as a set of decisions a villager would make, and this is one such decision. It is utterly bizarre that Frostwolf103 would suddenly gain great respect for Zone_Q11’s “random target” here. It simply does not make sense.

No, because if I am pretending I shouldnt voted Amelia in first place

Your overanalysis is less to be desired as well.
