considering Jia Mu/Shi Myin’s personality traits and role in Limbus I think Xifeng probably got folded into her. but also, they have set up more plot hooks regarding the eventual fate of Daganyuan than any other faction, most notably the proponderance of death flags over Lin Daiyu that haven’t come to pass yet, so there’s a possibility they’re saving her for the Purgatorio arc.

i’m so annoyed that they didn’t kill daiyu because i saw how many death flags there were and said “okay so i like her but i’m not going to get attached because she’s definitely going to die” and then she didn’t die so i got attached and she’s definitely still going to die later but now it’s going to hurt more

the part about it that drives me the most insane is like! they had so many chances to kill her and they didn’t! she could have died in backstory she could have gotten killed by mr magic bullet that will never miss she could have gotten killed by the thumb it’s like. why do you play with my heart like this

See I know the reason why she survived is that the whole message of the canto is that Hong Lu’s choices do actually matter, and him making these choices genuinely did save people. But Also
