just regained consciousness and figured out four of us went on a treck 3/4ths of the way to the business town that’s one and a half days away in four hours

when you put it like that it sounds silly, but generally speaking a day’s travel is ~eight hours, if you try to go further than that you have to start making saves against fatigue and nonlethal damage (so like, 9 hours round trip is generally going to be doable, but e.g. 12 hours might not be)
so eight hours so
12 hours normally, and we hightailed it 3/4ths of the way in 4 hours, which should normally take 9 hours

Yeah, this is why Arius didn’t bother trying to chase you four. It’d be such a long trek that it wouldn’t make sense for the injured freelancer to bother following.
this is a bit of an exaggeration because it assumes all of the towns are equally distant (and that “last town before hazel ford” still means it is relatively close, but it is a little funny to think of how big of lunatics the 4 pcs are for running and tracking and whatever that whole way in 4 hours)
