(canary’s pretty sure he’s on the younger side but considering her own age she’s not making a fuss about that, plus she actively views him as a little competent (…in some things.))
(You’re correct)
(As far as I could tell half orcs mature roughly 1-5 years faster than humans - Age - Rules - Archives of Nethys: Pathfinder RPG Database)
(Since maturity is 1 yr ahead but middle age is 5)
(So he’s probably around 17-18 human years? But he’s also been taking on responsibilities for his village that we would say should be reserved for adults)
nyeh
(Drakor is also somewhat socially awkward and hides it by speaking slowly and using fancier words)
(Which might make him seem older? Dunno)
If there is I forgor
Would you like to share with the class
Me? Yeah I would.
What did we forget to ask?
Details of the mission?
Location? Connections? Funds? Deadlines?
i don’t really know, sorry. i’m not as intelligent or as smart as canary.
(-and honestly considering drakor’s sister is a half-orc and like. is probably like 5’10"ish if she’s not too much younger than drakor, 3 metres might be too little fabric for a proper long dress.)
cause you got to think of it this way: how long would her legs be? then you have to have enough fabric to cut that length like five-six times to wrap around her.
granted you wouldn’t go down to the floor probably, but if it’s a long dress it’s gonna be likely 3/4s ish
(he’s adopted)
(she’s like 5’6")
(okay so: legs compose a bit less than half of an (average) human body… let’s say 3/8ths. and lets say if the dress is to be long its… 3/4ths of the legs. 5’6 in cm is 168, 3/8s of that is 63, 3/4s of that is 47.25, and i’ll round up to 50cm to make this easier. 50cm is .5 of a m.)
(5x.5 is 2.5 m)
(Just for the leg part of the dress alone, so it’d have to be a short dress)
(so let’s say the short dress she’s going to make off that fabric is 1/4s of her legs. which is 25% of 63, or 15.75. i’m rounding this to 15. since i’m lazy.)
(so five of those would be .75m and if we consider the top part to be roughly 2 metres- provided if she makes the cuts just right, she should have enough to fill out a single small dress using just that fabric (there’s going to be wasted space from having to spread out the cuts, after all)
(So in conclusion if I was Drakor i’d have bought either one or two more metres depending on my intentions for the dress just to be safe, accounting for space between cuts, fat areas on the body, etc etc.)
(none of this is useful information, mind you, but you must understand my superiority in. uhm. everything really.)
(-provided depending on how big her waist is and the width of the fabric she could double up on the area used for some of the cuts length, we aren’t working just in length, but it’s still gonna take up a fairly large amount of space (less so if it’s just around the skirt area i think, so actually drakor only buying 3m for her should be fine if she knows how to cut it)
I didn’t sleep very well last night so I might be misunderstanding you, but it sounds like you’re imagining all the panels of the skirt being laid end to end, rather than some of them being laid side by side, but I think there would probably be room to fit at least some side by side?
(disclaimer that I’ve never sewn anything more complicated than, like, a tote bag)
worst case scenario she makes a shirt instead of a dress
