If this were to be taken seriously, then there’d have been a non-zero chance the (majority of the weak) cultists could have escaped from Hazel Ford. Even now, when the aforementioned people of interest have been apprehended, there is still a possibility that the cult leader has escaped. That shows how much “power” these cultists have as a concept.
All things considered, I believe we have found ourselves in the better timeline, compared to if we didn’t approach the Watch. Now that we have opened Schrödinger’s box, we have at the very least established that they cannot do more harm than what was previously thought possible.

Legitimately: I am not frustrated.
(Because I am delegating the task of “find our next objective” to the others.)
((And if that doesn’t work, then my go-to plan is to leave Hazel Ford to go farther northward, into Eskil’s territory.))
I’m not personally frustrated (I am perfectly content to fumble around for a while) but some scaffolding would probably help group dynamics

- the cult of flauros thing is mostly settled, the guard got rid of the sigil (obviously) and confessed under a truth spell, implicating some cult members
- arius and Wanderer went with a group to an arrest, and it seems the arrests all went well
- Canary talked to some people and figured out evidence that the baron was nicer in the past, or fickle, and she’s able to ask Jan a couple of questions had any of you had any
