when a spell lists a race or something in paraphrases next to the classes who can use it, does it mean only that race can use it?

see: Urban Grace - Spells - Archives of Nethys: Pathfinder RPG Database

So, the rules here are kind of… “ambiguous” is not exactly the right word, but I don’t have one that’s better. Basically, the rules around racial spells specify that some racial spells are actually specific to a race, while others are just that race’s closely-guarded secrets, but they generally don’t, uh, say which is which :joy_cat:

in most cases though I think it makes more sense to say that species-specific spells are actually tied to that species, like, there’s no reason why half-elves would randomly be like “we are keeping the spell Urban Grace secret from everyone else”

“including our parents, I guess”

“for no reason”

she asked for the jewellry so she could Make Herself Useful by selling it for a profit and giving that sum back

I did choose not to do the sense motive check on the jeweler bc I already was told approximate information on what Rika thinks his motive is, so I was like well it’s redundant I don’t wanna do checks every 5 seconds, which I probably should not have neglected

(there’s two threeish fairly obvious decent to good options in that pool and if one of you fails to select one of them you’re being sent to room with the gorumites)
