(i’m kinda having trouble remembering why i use low rolls=good in my games)
(i’m like 60% sure it’s because i had to minus a roll to get a number in high rolls=good? like if you rolled 18 i’d have to do 20-18 for 2. or something stupid like that. i dunno it’s a TOM thing)
i don’t remember if i did it in ad vitam though? because i had low rolls = bad on zone’s attempted death
you could do
roll below your stat to pass the check
e.g. stat is 18, roll below 18 to pass
therefore low = good
Yeah, I have no plan which is the plan
for the record, Drakor has an exceedingly poor idea of what the cost of actually making a dress is
so you could definitely short or overcharge him if you wanted
woah. and here I thought revealing someone’s captain, whom they clearly look upto in some form, as a cultist*, would make them like you more
I’m genuinely curious if Detect Magic will pick up anything, even from normal cultists.
(It sure would suck if “normal cultists” don’t have anything that emits magical aura.)
((It sure would suck if not even the cult leader of all people has anything that emits magical aura.))
…well, at least the fact that Meren is a cultist should still be correct. I can’t imagine the cultists being smart enough to give Rafau fake answers (i.e., non-cultists) to throw off any pursuers. After all, that’d just be a waste of time and effort, given the existence of truth spells.
The divination supported that several were in the cult so the list can’t be wrong outside of things like missing people
also he said it while under Abadar’s Truthtelling
which is not literally impossible to fake, but definitely harder than faking a Zone of Truth
you’d think this guard npc was big boss by how much arius loves him
Hm… the Watch are corrupt, but as far as I can see they are not (yet?) connected with the cult. Besides Rafau, of course.
Corruption of this magnitude is unpleasant, but not a matter worth looking into. After all, it’s not as if any of us are regents shackled with noble responsibilities on our ankles.
‘They are criminals, so we can legally steal from them’ isn’t something strange but it is corrupt as shit yeah
Hm… Y’know, now that the cultists are (seemingly) dealt with, that leaves us with no extra leverage for Rika to give to Amelie, who will then gossip to the Lord-Mayor.
. . .
Okay, now I am at a loss on what to do next.
Like, what, do we hunt for “the Blessed One” or smth? (I really would rather not have Arius return to (any) court, but realistically speaking, that’s the most efficient way of gaining intel…)
It’s a tough situation but it’s possible this is just a bust and we’ll have to move on to Dalin’s territory
Long live frontal, direct approaches.
If this blessed one managed to get away we’ll likely heard about it later
Hazel Ford watch catching criminals when they’re employed with the Watch // Hazel Ford watch catching criminals when they’re random people they get to rob

If this were to be taken seriously, then there’d have been a non-zero chance the (majority of the weak) cultists could have escaped from Hazel Ford. Even now, when the aforementioned people of interest have been apprehended, there is still a possibility that the cult leader has escaped. That shows how much “power” these cultists have as a concept.
All things considered, I believe we have found ourselves in the better timeline, compared to if we didn’t approach the Watch. Now that we have opened Schrödinger’s box, we have at the very least established that they cannot do more harm than what was previously thought possible.
. . .
Now then, what were the other leads again?
