is there anything else besides:
increase hp
get skill ranks
favored class bonus
ability score at level 4
class specific stuff
spell stuff
feats at odd levels, but this one’s an even level

hp is hit die, right? do we roll or take the average?
for levels beyond the first (where everyone gets max), you can choose to either roll or take the average (rounded up, so 6 for a d10 hit die), but if you roll and get a bad result, you’re still stuck with your roll

also i’m gonna be so honest i have a d6 hit die and like a 6 doesn’t change much from a 4 but a 1 changes so much

the main situation where rolling can be beneficial is if you have a negative Con mod for some reason (since you can’t gain less than 1 HP per level)
but you can also choose to gamble for fun!
