which is a little weird since i had 7 hp and 3.5 rounded up is. 11.

tragically the thing that would allow me to store mutagens for future use costs 1,000 GP per use because of course it does

and just to clarify, could I take a feat later that has the combat feat as a prereq?

e.g. if I took two weapon fighting with the two weapon combat fighting style, could I take two weapon defense at lvl 3?

you can use a regular feat slot to take a later feat that has the combat feat you got with Ranger Combat Style as a prerequisite, but only if you actually meet all the prerequisites – so you would still need to meet the Dex 15 requirement for Two-Weapon Defense if you were not getting it through Ranger Combat Style

the [setting important] gap checkpoint, or ‘why having geyde do everything is a mistake when you can’t rely on geyde to bail you out in roleplay’

So this one’s a doozy but

it’s from my Hell’s Rebels campaign. The party is posing as a merchant caravan delivering to Nidal. They’re actually shipping explosives.

They get stopped by a guard. 3 of the party members are hiding, so it’s up to the Bard and the Barbarian to handle the incoming check.

Guard: “State your purpose!”

Barbarian: “Fish.”

beg your pardon?

it’s the amelia story not this game

…fish?

they were “delivering” a shipment of fish

except this was then proceeded by them trying to convince the guards not to investigate because the goods were quote unquote too smelly
