IDK what that does, but compared to him my stats are inferior (or on par) in every way except INT and CHA. (P.S. Never mind. I am now also 1 poing superior in WIS compared to tutuu.)
I understand that that is probably the intent.
I stand by my opinion that that is not written.
I will wait for Areteās judgement / clarification.
I dare not ask what that entails, for I know that such terrifying builds can exist and have existed.
it works like you had only 1 thing giving you the class skill, except that if one of them also gives some other benefit to the skill you would still get the benefit
so for example:
Bob has decided to play a Fighter/Wizard multiclass build for some reason. Both Fighter and Wizard give Knowledge (Dungeoneering) as a class skill. If Bob puts at least 1 skill rank into K(Dungeoneering), he gets the usual +3 bonus, but they donāt āstackā to turn into a +6 bonus
Carol has decided to play a Cleric with the Suspicious trait (which makes Sense Motive a class skill and adds a +1 trait bonus). Cleric already gets Sense Motive as a class skill, but she still keeps the +1 trait bonus from Suspicious.
we are definitely Running Into the point of there being a lot of players (especially if Leafia ends up joining), I could maybe squeeze you in but itād definitely be Getting Tight
in the vast majority of cases your character will want to use a weapon sized for them, but if you were playing a Small character (like a halfling), or playing a medium-sized character under a Reduce Person spell, you would use the damage dice for a Small weapon instead
A scimitar being wielded one-handed (assuming you donāt have any feats that would change what stat you use for it) would be standard melee, yeah, and a light crossbow would indeed be ranged ā crossbows. For unarmed strike you would also put it in as standard melee (although it is generally a bad idea to use unarmed strikes if you arenāt a character who specifically has reason to use them, like a monk ā if you make an unarmed strike without having the āImproved Unarmed Strikeā feat, it provokes an attack of opportunity from your target)
āby the way, I would like to ask for confirmation: If I were to cast a spell within the proximity of an enemy, would they have an opportunity attack on me unless I cast defensively?
hmm, I had not been imagining using the background skills rule but it sounds like a couple people had been expecting we would be using it, Iād be willing to switch to using it if thatās what people would prefer? the most important thing is consistency about using vs. not using it (since otherwise it would be unfair to the characters who randomly get fewer skills)
Magus knows all the magus cantrips but (at first level) picks 3 per day to be able to use, sorcerer knows a specific number of cantrips but can use all the ones they know every day, but both of you (for any cantrip you can use on a given day) can cast it an infinite number of times ā so if Zone prepared Acid Splash on a certain day, heād be able to use it as many times as he wanted that day
Speaking of background skills, I seem to be able to change the options for Lore, Performance, and Profession (my options were the aforementioned three as well as Artistry and Craft), but apparently changing these also alters the skill totals of some of the other background skills (e.g., Handle Animal and Kn-Geography).
I uh⦠I just donāt know what to do with these.
I wonder if this means I can ālockpickā any locks by melting them with Acid Splash. Because itās effectively free 1d3 acid damage every 6 seconds.
