I feel like I am 70% ready on both mechanics and RP.

On the mechanical front, I have my character name, alignment, stats, skills, spells, traits, feats, and languages ready. I think I got my equipment and gear ready as well.

On the RP end, I got the general idea of my background and goal / motivation ready. Like, obviously I can’t set them in stone because I have to adapt to the world’s setting, but the core ideas are ready.

I feel like nothing changed.

[Random Topic]
1d20 + 1 (caster level) + 2 (INT mod) + 4 (Combat Casting) + 2 (Focused Mind) vs DC 15 + 2 × 1 (spell level)

1d20 + 9 vs DC 17
“Meet to beat” → I need to roll at least an 8 to pass the concentration check. In other words, 35% of failure. It’s either this, or letting my opponent have an opportunity attack on me every turn for 2 turns (because I can cast 1st-level spells only twice), because when would I not cast Spell Combat otherwise?

No, really. It’s either “cast Shield first, then attack” or “cast spells mid-combat and risk failing defensive casting”. Three of my five spells are oriented towards combat in preparation for Spellstrike, and the other two are defensive. I got no support spells like Grease or Enlarge Person in as of moment of writing.

Hm… I myself got AC 16, so if I were to attack a mirror of myself, then… AC 13 w. Spell Combat, and AC 11 w/o Spell Combat. 40% and 50% odds respectively of hitting my mirror self. Yikes… I can already feel the incoming slugfest.

As for the damage… It’s most likely always going to be a 2HKO. Unless I crit, in which case I’d almost always OHKO my mirror self. (Assuming I hit him in the first place.)

It’ll take care of ~anything that doesn’t have a specific listed cost in the entry

both of those would be considered “costless” components – your spell component pouch is assumed to have adequate quantities of butter and powdered iron. Generally speaking, components with a cost that you need to carry about will say “50 GP worth of [item]” or whatever

Guns exist but are rare in Brevoy. Generally speaking, gun weaponry has advanced more slowly on Golarion than on real-world Earth (because magic can serve many of the same purposes, and because many inventor-y types end up focusing on spell research) (relatedly, Alkenstar, which is kind of Gun Central, is located within a region where magic doesn’t work properly).

how exactly would you DM rule frightened condition?

what would be an example of “if unable to flee, it may fight”? rooted in place? any others? is there a mechanical ability of “feeling”?

also, is there a particular range that the fleeing target needs to be from the offender, in order for it to be feared from them, before it wears off? like 30ft?

Just about done, need to change my backstoey from bullet points to Actual Wallpost of Text and upload the character sheet with my clothing factored into the weight

And buy an abacus
