(Also, how poorly done was the work to the fields?)
Wanderer will do mental calculus. He really shouldnât push his luckâŚ
He thanks the less dirty man and attempts to pull the dirty man aside for a discussion.
There are definitely some flaws that could be identified, but even the most egregious ones are still an improvement on ânot having anyone at all doing that part of the plantingâ, and theyâre not outside of the range of what someone would reasonably expect to get from hiring a group of random strangers that includes several children.

âZelsh agrees. He deserves payment for the work done. Just because heâs a Rostlanddr doesnât give you the right to break an agreement with him you will pay him the full amount and apologizr for trying to get out of paying him.â Zelsh growled to the less dusty guy threateningly.
(The roll was for intimidation. Zelsh DOES NOT like when people discriminate against other prople for any reason.)

Drakor turned to watch the conversation.
The less dusty man glares at the group, particularly Zelsh, as he takes some copper bits out of a pouch sewn into his shirt and throws them at the dustier manâs feet. âThereâs your money, Rostlander. Iâm so sorryâ (his tone is bitterly sarcastic) âfor not handing it over earlier. There, are you happy, or do you want me to grovel, too?â
(Canary, it looks like itâs definitely more than ten bits, but probably fewer than twenty. Depending on the wage they agreed upon, it might be the full half-sum he offered, though itâs definitely not 100% of the wage for the full day.)
Canary looks to gauge the manâs reaction in an attempt to see how much he stiffed him for the promised half.
(provided they donât directly say, could i please roll sense motive?)
(âŚor whatever roll this would be instead)
The dustier man picks the money up off the ground, counting the coins. He tucks them into the bottom of the pack, then nods to Wanderer. âWhat is it? âAs the stars see me, I swear we wonât be any trouble to you.â
(despite the direct reference to the stars, your character would be aware that this isnât particularly associated with star-related gods â itâs a common expression throughout Brevoy)
you may roll sense motive, yes

(awesome.)

Canary takes a deep breath, andâŚ
âŚPolitely waits for Wanderer to finish what he has to say to the man.
Drakor turned back to face the road.
(Can I resume scouting, at least for the immediate area?)
(That way I have some buffer once we start moving)
âThe stars see everything, do not worry. Whatâs happening that brought you here?â He says with an inquisitive tone.
(you may)
