Hi! To find out what I can do, say @discobot display help.
âWell, I canât complain, I run my business out of my house!â He laughs in a friendly way. âBut weâre definitely emptier than usual. Iâd say my aleâs pretty good, but maybe not good enough to walk through a downpour.â
((Arete, would we have to roll to check the sections for missing books?))
((âsame question as above, but then stealthily.))
âRight, right. Ended up here regardless, soâŚâ It clicks.
âWhat would you recommend?â
(The half orc menacingly baring his fangs at hin (smiling) probably doesnât help)
Knowing some things about Hazel Ford, your impression is that Canary is⌠not exactly the most competent at navigating the town. At least, it seems pretty unlikely that sheâs repeatedly backtracking on purpose. The good news is, that makes it relatively easy to keep up with her, and eventually you see her enter the shop of a quite expensive jeweler, whoâs been a master within the jewelerâs guild for as long as you can remember.
Sure, make me a ⌠perception check?

âWell, I can make ale, or I can make wine. You want anything stronger, youâll need to go to someone whoâs getting alcohol brewed the normal way.â
âLetâs go with some ale.â
âWhatâs popular these days?â Drakor asked. âIâve been told itâs coming back into style.â
He ignored the language question, oddly enough.
Looking through the stacks, it doesnât seem like any of the books are outright missing â given the mention of âcopyingâ on their associated price sheets, this makes sense, as presumably if he sells a copy he retains the original. Looking more closely at the shelves, you can spot signs of books being removed and re-shelved for copying. It seems that few of the history books have been removed and re-shelved recently; in the Religion section, book removals (beyond the books that there are already multiple copies of) seem concentrated around a couple specific books of Gorumite theology; in the Other section, by far the most popular books are the travelogues. The medicine section seems largely unpopular, with the exception of one specific book of remedies, though it seems like most of the books were disturbed months ago, not years or anything extreme like that.
He takes out a mug and murmurs a few words, waving his right hand over it. Ale appears in the mug, and he hands it over to you. âThatâll be one bit.â
(you know that this is an unusually cheap price for ale)
