(so I’m not a programmer, so take this with a grain of salt, but how I think discobot’s rng would’ve been programmed is to take your system time (probably down to the millisecond) and pull it in a certain way to get it to generate a 1-20 number. so, if you really think about it, your rolls are a skill issue from you sending them at a poor time.)
“We can deal you in next round,” says one of the people playing the bluffing game. There are three of them, all young adults: a human man with a long scar along his left arm, a human woman with her hair tied back with a flower-patterned kerchief, and a human man who seems to already be drunk.
Scar Guy wins the hand, and they deal you in. It’s hard to tell from just one hand, but it seems like the first two players are evenly matched, while the last one is… not.
I peek at my cards. And pretend to know what’s going on.
(same ‘card game’ system as last time i. sorta assume?)
(yep!)
(+8 bluff 0 sense, can I take some form of disadvantage on this roll due to not actually Knowing How To Play)
sure, let’s call it a -4 circumstance penalty
functionally equivalent to what I’m giving the drunk guy
You bring down your warhammer, but the bulk of the impact is absorbed by his chainmail, and he remains uninjured.
Zelsh (@Leafia) is up!

(+4=15)
“I’ve been on this force for longer than you’ve been alive , boy,” he says, but you can hear the uncertainty in his voice.
16, 1, 7
(he’s said this as a general threat twice you’ve really got him on the back foot!!)
Scar guy wins this hand as well, but despite your inexperience with the game, you manage to play reasonably well.
“This your first time?” he asks conversationally.
I nod.
I can’t ask him if I did something wrong. But. If I bluff experience and he sees through me- my plan’s over. Nobody wants to try and talk politics with someone who lies to seem better at a game they suck at.
“That just speaks to the depth of corruption within your beloved Watch,” Drakor spat. “Doing the wrong thing for twenty years doesn’t mean you’re right, it means you’re stupid.”
(This could be said during zelsh’s round if the timing doesn’t make sense)
“The Watch? You think I was doing all this on the orders of the Watch?”
“Well, it’s not too hard,” he says, dealing out another hand. “See, the goal of the game is…”
He explains the rules. Based on how the other players are reacting, it doesn’t seem like he’s outright lying about them, at least.
