I nod along to his explanation.
(if you ever want to do a turn just roll and I’ll do it after you)

Drakor snorted. “That’s what you said, isn’t it?”
(…no, it was not, and Drakor knows it)

(look if I win ONE round per 4 with my insane advantage I’ll be fine don’t make fun of me for rolling a 1 do NOT)
(so I’m not a programmer, so take this with a grain of salt, but how I think discobot’s rng would’ve been programmed is to take your system time (probably down to the millisecond) and pull it in a certain way to get it to generate a 1-20 number. so, if you really think about it, your rolls are a skill issue from you sending them at a poor time.)
Despite the rules explanation, you somehow manage to do notably worse in the second round — apparently the other players are hogging all the good cards, or something. Meanwhile, Scar Guy wins the hand again . He must be really good at the game!
As they play through the second round, they start chatting idly with each other about how their lives are going. Apparently Scarf Girl’s younger brother just got married (she seems to think he was awfully young for marriage, though she doesn’t name a specific age), and Drunk Guy got fired from his ~job loading up boats for River Stetven Shipping Co after getting into a big argument with one of the other workers (he seems very convinced that he was in the right and it was unfair that he got fired over it).
“Stupid kid,” he mutters under his breath, loud enough that he probably wasn’t really trying to stop you from hearing it.
…I should probably jump into the conversation to ask about the argument. So I can segue that into politics.
I. Wait for the next hand.

This is the closest game yet… but ultimately, Scar Guy pulls it out yet again.
Drunk guy’s friends don’t seem too enthusiastic about hearing about his work-related woes; if you don’t jump in to ask, they’ll change the subject to Scar Guy talking about his attempts at saving up to afford a potion of Cure Light Wounds.
I frown. I probably should- say something. But.
I wait to be dealt in again.
