hi im eliza. i say random phrases far too much. they probably mean nothing most of the time.

most of you know me. i have spoken extensively in cookie thread about Things

i generally have an (unintentionally) rotating collection of like two games i actively play. this time around it’s omega strikers and deceive inc. this does not include singleplayer or story games. i am currently playing through Hades. some of my favorite singleplayer games of all time are Wandersong and Baldur’s Gate 3 . other notable singleplayer things are A Hat in Time, Dicey Dungeons, The Henry Stickmin Collection, and Into the Breach.

i really only play visual novels if i have a person to voice act them with. it is a miracle i finished wandersong in the first place. (if you want to voice act silly voices with me in Chicory: A Colorful tale or Phoenix Wright hit me up, i still have not finished these games beacuse of this)

that’s enough about games. i go to a school in utah that lets me get an associates degree when i graduate. this is all public info and is probably enough to doxx me but its already public so skill issue. i plan to move out of state ASAP because god fucking damnit i hate utah.

im taking a bunch of summer courses rn. they’re cringe and boring and i know no one except one person who hangs out with people i hate. oops

all of these things are all probably public knowledge so im kinda not doing the purpose of the thread but shut up ill do more

i have a very good friend named iris. she is based. i make efforts to dm her every day because we do not actually interact irl very often. did i mention she is very based

when jail said

i said “me fr” (links i wanna be in love again by madds buckley)
but none of you are ELIGIBLE because i want to be able to SEE WHOEVER I DATE IRL AT LEAST SOMETIMES so TAKE THAT

uh yeah idk what else to put
let me know if you have any questions. I am far more open than my 1984ish parents would like but this is ok because i don’t care

…I did not see this thread until [checks watch] almost a full month after it was posted. whoops.

anyways, hello! I’m squirrel. I am not a squirrel (or a furry), but I think squirrels are cute.

I like roleplay games - I’ve played in all the games atlas hosted, plus perjury, plus KOTC 1 and KOTC 2, plus Aelin’s Fantasy of the Damned, plus Magnus’ Magnum Opus).

I used to play exclusively as talking squirrels, but have since branched out to more realistic characters, such as barons who communicate with the royal court using pigeon mail, an asian gangster who broke her parents’ hearts by becoming a cop, and an insurance agent.

fun fact: none of my characters so far have ever had the first, third, or fifth letter of my first name inside their names.

I used to play a lot of forum mafia back in high school, but my homesite (Chief Delphi) stopped hosting games for Reasons™ - ask me or most of the people who identify as nerds (arete, orange, beancat, etc.) if you want the details. I’ve played some games here and on old FoL, but I don’t really have the time/interest anymore.

drawing is fun, though I have trouble drawing faces (and hands (and muscles (and feet (help my right parentheses key is broken (never mind I fixed it))))). I’m much better at drawing squirrels (which, incidentally, is the origin of my username), birds (sometimes) and rooms.

I also play mtg (on arena - I’m too cheap to buy actual cards), marvel snap, and valorant. unfortunately, my skill with each of these games is inversely proportional to how popular they are among my friends.

reading is also fun - I like sci-fi or fantasy, but anything with a good cast of characters with a wholesome ending is great. in other words, good books that aren’t horror.

that’s all for now!

hello i am engineer who likes indie music. I was named TheBlueElixir by my parents after grandfather of the same name. I used to play here in 2020 to pass the time and have played a scattered few games since, usually as a backup. this game has inspired me to go to law school/

Hey yall! I’m beancat. I started playing as clonedcheese back in 2019 on chief delphi before it got shut down. I migrated to the old site together with squirrel then have stuck around ever since!

I swapped over to playing as beancat shortly after joining the new site - frankly it should’ve been a sign when I said “I feel more motivated to try when I get on an alt”. This site’s kinda how I learned the existence of trans people :tm: and I’ve walked through my gender discovery journey with people here, so thank yall for that  I’ve gone from someone that completely shut out any thought of emotion or self to now having some semblance of showing feelings, it’s amazing the progress I’ve made :3

Like many of us here I am a massive nerd, specifically of the Mechanical Engineering variety. I was a massive robotics nerd in high school then took up solar car as I got to college (mainly cause orange sold me on it lol). I did research with robotic collectives while in college, now I’m working for a company that’s completely unreleated to said research but pays me kidna well so

I’ve taken a break from forum mafia since I’ve had less and less time and energy through school and extracurriculars, but now that’s out of the way and I have a (more or less) stable schedule I’m excited to come back! Outside of that I like to drink cook, play mario kart 8 dx (top 200 world) and honkai star rail, and listen to dance and electronic music. I’m a maaaaaaasssiive fan of cats but dont have a cat in my life so I go out to cat cafes on weekends :3

Send me cat pics

when i was 10 years old i was racing my friend from my music class to my homeroom. i was second so as my friend opened the door i hit my head on a door handle and cracked my head. still have the scar to this day, its a weird experience you know you’re fucked but you dont feel anything except coldness in your head area due to the shock. life lesson learned always be first

i finished military training today. (literally) during it i lost 25kg ( around 55 pounds) am no longer overweight, made a few friends , gained some confidence. still dont reccomend it, huge pain in the ass. just work on it yourslelf, it’s never too late

yesterday we were doing some sport (running) and as we were running past a biking trail we saw a dead body. now i understand logan paul reaction since some of us were doing the same shit. he is reddemed of his sins

my hobbies include gardening, cooking and foraging. an ideal morning for me is driving to the forest. getting a bunch of mushrooms, boiling them, taking some fresh potatoes from the garden , boiling them, then making a sauce with the mushrooms, mashing the potatoes, and putting allathat into my stomach

my hobbies of the computer kind are mafia, pokemon draft leagues, and watching sumo wrestling/basket ball. my favourite video games are fire emblem 6 and demon crawl (a minesweeper roguelike)

i dont really watch tv or cartoons/anime nowadys, i read some manga, i am following sakamoto days and dadadanandan. both are absolute bangers

i am 58 years old

Heyhey i’m Chloe. I’m a mid-20s genderqueer dweeb from California, but I’m currently living in Tennessee, where I’m studying for a Master’s with concentrations in histological and molecular pathology

I spend most of my time doing research or studying, but when I have time off I love to play games like powerwash sim and roguelikes, or do cryptics and other puzzles. I’m one of like five people on FoL without autism, but I do have the trifecta of OCD, ADHD, and mild Tourette’s, as well as near-blindness in my left eye. I used to wear eye patches as a kid and i looked suuuuper stupid

I’m semi-retired from mafia because i’m busy and always end up tryharding way way way too much, but I love spectating and I play one or two games per year when I get the itch and feel like ignoring my sister’s (@katze’s) advice. I’ve been playing forum mafia since Dec 2019 if we count the game I immediately subbed out of, but I’ve been playing other social deduction games like TTT/ToS/ToL for over a decade. I’m not super into the theory side of mafia and while I do strive to improve and learn from every game, I’ve never really been interested in having deep discussions about game design or solving philosophy or whatever, idk. I do like to read other people saying words though :joy_cat:

I plan on moving to back to cali this upcoming spring and living with my cat Piper again and getting more tattoos and learning how to play the banjo. Also im gay

Isn’t it funny how much can change in a years time?

Hello. I’m Atlas (surprisingly)

I don’t really mesh well with a lot of people for a lot of reasons, one of the bigger ones being the fact I dislike when people are flawed in a specific way I don’t like, which makes not mesh with them more, and ad aeternam.

Sometimes I host games on this site. I don’t really play as much anymore since I don’t really enjoy a few big aspects of forum mafia/BOTF (mainly wanting a game that makes me think instead of makes me persevere through an onslaught of arguing). Typically, I host miscellaneous or roleplay games, not Forum Mafia, but I have little issue actually joining games if I especially think they’ll be interesting

I still am a fan of games. Does Foxhole (military shooter mmo) count as indie? I’m not sure.
Recently, I’ve been playing mainly shooters, with at the time of writing just getting back into deadlock. I like the vampire girl and the goat, somewhat because they reward being super super aggressive, but otherwise I… surprisingly play Dynamo. I’m… the best at Dynamo. i think you should play it, theres a tonne of different playstyles

I’d like to now say my favourite horror game is one of the Hello Charlotte games. Either Heaven’s Gate (Childhood’s End’s DLC), or if you don’t count that because it’s a visual novel, Requiem Aeternam Deo, and if you don’t count that because it’s an RPGmaker game, you have more problems with me than you do my rankings.

I’ve been claiming to be busy lately. That isn’t necessarily an untruth, but during the 2nd game of Truth or Consequences in early August?, I burst into tears because I wasn’t really enjoying anything I was doing despite getting crueler and crueler in an attempt to, and I believed that not enjoying it extended to onsite. Thus, not being around. Irrelevant, but thinking about it, I don’t think I can really rank FOLers in terms of affection for them that well.
I don’t really know how I feel about the whole thing at the moment, but that’s at least the reason I haven’t been here. I don’t really know if I’ve been doing better or worse, but I do have less people to talk to, anyways. If I was not an evil deranged criminal hellbent on the world’s destruction, I wager that would probably be bad for me. I do think the messages I’ve received were sweet.
I have read a bit of fol threads in clumps, and I don’t really know if my feelings changed all that much from then till now, but I think it does bother me a little bit that I don’t really talk to anyone one on one anymore, despite the fact that I don’t particularly feel close nor especially enjoyed by any individual

Besides whining, I’ve been learning about interesting stuff occasionally on my own time. Statistics is a bit more fun than people make it out to be, and I do get rather annoyed sitting around and never feeling like I’m gaining new information ever.
I think sickles are neat, as I do umbrellas. I dislike large crowds immensely, but medium crowds are fine to get lost in. I don’t really know what I enjoy, as I feel rather bound by not being physically able to do a lot of things, and mentally unable to do others, such as speech. Everyone in my direct family is still alive, but I’m not even slightly close with any of them sans my grandfather. I have really good self-trivia. My favourite colours are shades of red, black, and white. Runner ups are shades of purple and green. I need to get around to replaying Cry of Fear to really confidently say my feelings on my favourite psychological horror games
I have an affection towards people I feel are somewhat similar in our life experiences, which causes me to be very noticably polite to them. If I were to rework truth or consequences after game 1 and 2, I’d make it “each turn, say something interesting about yourself. it will then be ranked from 1-5 in terms of interest by other players. you gain atlas points (it was always my game!!) per rating you received, which you may then use to make another player give a statement with a rating from 1-5 (based off points spent)”
i’m instinctually rather reclusive in my behaviours and sharing information about myself, which is great for internet safety, awful in making friends. i enjoy it when i’m talked about, but i’m not too great in groups as i do start to feel ignored, which results in me either preferring people talking about me, me talking generally, or me talking one on one with other people. i think i’m rather forgettable. i like doing new, not very physical things. i think entropy: zero 2 is better than half life 2 and i’m not sorry, yes it’s corny. i wish more people were passionate about designing things (especially games), cause even if they’re bad i think they’re still fun and interesting. i need to eat better, and i’m suffering badly from not eating as much sugar as i’d like to as of late. i’m out of things to say.

just realized I never did this lmao

Guten Tag, I go by a variety of names across several different places on the internet but here you may simply call me Ishmael.

I’ve been around FoL since I believe 2017 (someone may need to fact check me on that) and while I may have fallen out of love with SDGs I do still try to play a game every now and again.

A large part of my life nowadays is actually finally attending college. It’s weird being my age in freshmen/sophmore level classes but hey it’s community college so nobody judges too too much.

Main kind of games I play nowadays are Grand Strategy games (EUIV, CK3, Vic2/3 etc.) and a good chunk of wargames (Rule The Waves 3, whatevers going on at my LGS, etc.). Also play a bit of civ

also sports! fuck i love sports. Huge Browns and Mariners fan with a bit of LSU on the side given where I was raised and reside currently.

anyways yeah yeah im very boring usually youll prob find me in the cookie thread n shit

aight thats good enough bye~

I havent done this probably because i didnt see the thread when i joined

Im soweli im from AoPS first & foremost & also MU but the activity is a lot most of the time. I am in college studying math & music (mostly tgeory for both). I also write poetry & short stories but they are bad!

I theoretically speak toki pona (whrre my username comes from) but am only interested in other conlangs insofar as they are funny! I listen to a lot of music, mostly pop-related but also RYM charts. I like Celeste. I can play the violin decently well.

My mafia career has already peaked.

I guess now’s the best time to stop procrastinating this.

Hi! I’m Ash. This isn’t my actual name, but googling my actual name gives me instantly, so, uh, go hunting.

I’m a 20 year old Indian-American studying Finance in NYC. I spent my first year abroad in London, which is when I joined FoL. I’ve been playing mafia on QBCord since December 2020, then leaped over here after Arete came to QBCord. Irl, I’m originally from Georgia, though I lived in North Carolina for a couple years when I was really young.

I enjoy coding and was a former mathlete. I also enjoy writing and at some point in my life wanted to be a scriptwriter until I realized that I have zero capability to finish things without a gun to my head. One of these days, I will finish the Virtuous project I promised Willow.

I’m a big music guy. I play piano and guitar and also played percussion in middle school but didn’t continue. I used to do chorus for two years and studied Carnatic music for twelve years, but I don’t think you’d notice that if I ever tried to sing. Am trying to get back my range, but that’s hard.
Music League has also outed me as being a massive J-Pop + anime music fan (T500 Yuki Kajiura listener last year, apparently). Linked are my Apple Music Replays for 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 (so far).

I can’t make simple things to save my life. The part of me that wants a job calls it “high standards”, but the actual answer is that I derive a lot of joy from making complex things. This extends to effectively everything I do, from mafia games to writing to coding. That said, it’s one of those things I don’t want to change about myself. I enjoy throwing myself into the deep end and forcing myself to swim.

Family-wise, I have a younger brother - seven and a half years my junior, interested in military history and games - and two cats, Coffee and Pingu. I used to have one named Oreo, but she passed away August 2023.

From left to right: Pingu, Oreo, and Coffee taking over my bed.

Favorite film of all time is A Silent Voice, followed by Inception.
Favorite show is Bojack Horseman, followed by Better Call Saul and Attack on Titan.
Favorite game is the remake of Link’s Awakening, followed by Deltarune, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Persona 5 Royal.
Favorite song is…I don’t actually know, but Aimer’s Ref:rain, Aina the End’s Just on the night I wanted to die, and Yuki Kajiura’s The flower will bloom are good places to start. Or just the entire Heaven’s Feel soundtrack; I’m a sucker for violins and chanting.

If you have any further questions, feel free to ask! I’m fairly open about myself.

oh god tell us about yourself/introduction spaces are so tempting for me

hello i’m carbonated you can call me carbon (but please not carb that reminds me of carbohydrates for some reason and this carbonated comes from the effusive bubbliness of carbonated beverages of which i am neither sweet nor effusive nor bubbly; alternatively the name dervies from “carbon copy” cuz it’s a carbon copy of myself haha get it i’m so funny no i’m not).

I am attempting so hard not to gravely doxx myself but i fear the problem comes alongside introducing yourself. so I will only minimally doing so probably using things i have probably said already. Although attempting to google me will return you blank misleading slots so i’m not sure how fruitful that would be. if you so severely need a geographical location to place me in i am located in the united states, although this will definitely not pin down my location. no i’m not going to go click and like the past messages in here because i think it’s awkward to get a necroping but i read the things in here and y’all are cool so yay

i am from qbcord. the first game i can find that i was somewhat present in on qbcord was in may 2023, so this means i’ve been playing for over two years i guess. I like to read and write (no I’m not published anywhere you can find) and listen to music (i’m less good at playing music although I can do that) and read papers (of the biology kind). I cannot be trusted to take care of 13 pets and so now I have two, which is a bit less. i have a sleep schedule that is occasionally stunningly good and other times non-existent, which means I am sleepy 24/7. the photo in my banner is one you can’t dox me from but in case you’re wondering I took it in hong kong while passing by on a flight connection and i thought it was pretty. my capitalization is also inconsistent on a computer.

there is like nothing interesting about myself so i’ll stop there before i end up doxxing myself. Yay.

i suppose i’ll jump on the trend of qbcorders introducing themselves

hello i’m jason. no my last name is not mrrown (tho someone has thought that before!). i don’t remember the exact origin of how the name jason mrrown came about but i believe it was related to how i love cats. i don’t own any pets, tho i do hope i get a cat at some point in my life.

i grew up in california, went to college in the northeast majoring in biochemistry, graduated in 2024, and am now living in the DC area. i’m applying for graduate school this fall so soon enough i’ll be moving to a different location.

like ash and carbonated, my home community is qbcord. apparently my first qbcord game was in 2021, but i think i only really felt like part of the community around 2023 when i began signing up for more games. i’ve known of FoL’s existence for a while from arete and benguined, as well as some FoLers playing qbcord games (most notably may). a bit after speccing FAM5 i decided to join FoL (so less than a month ago). i definitely plan to play games on here at some point.

while in high school and college quizbowl (academic trivia!) took up a significant part of my headspace. quizbowl is strange in that it reinforces your prior interests and makes you feel rewarded for knowing things, while also exposing you to a bunch of cool new things that you might be interested in, but at the same time it subconsciously shapes the direction of topics you’re interested in, since by the nature of the game you’re drawn towards topics that tend to come up more in quizbowl. anyways i enjoy hearing quizbowl questions on history topics (especially pre-modern history- think ancient history and medieval european/medieval world) as well as biology and chemistry (by virtue of my major).

i think my music taste is fairly unusual (94% obscurify). i listen to very little pop music (tho i can recognize a decent number, i just might not know the song name or who it’s by). the majority of music i listen to is “soundtrack music,” meaning it’s from the soundtrack of a movie, a video game, or an anime. i used to listen to a decent amount of classical music, but that has dropped off quite a bit.

i don’t really play video games tbh, tho i am in the middle of a “hydra” playthrough of ace attorney me and some friends are doing where we play the games while doing voice acting for the characters. so far we’ve finished the first trilogy as well as the first apollo justice game and are currently in the middle of dual destinies. i also somewhat follow competitive smash ultimate and pokemon vgc on youtube.

i also play and follow basketball, and i find the strategy aspects super interesting. i’m from california so my team is the golden state warriors.

i’m not sure what my favorite movie is, but how to train your dragon (as seen by my pfp) is definitely in contention. i have yet to watch the live action remake (i really should ugh) but my expectations are naturally sky-high.
