Rules

This game has a minimum post count of 10 game-relevant posts per in-game day. Failure to meet will result in a warning the first time, substitution the second time. 0 posting will instead result in substitution on the first time.

Alts are allowed and do not have to disclose their identity to the hosts.

Mafia chat will be immediately made public after the end of game.

Setup Information

9x Vanilla Town
2x Mafia Goon

Sample Role PMs:

  • Flavor is NAI and will be randomized from Crests (or things named as such) found in video games. You are allowed to flavor claim.
  • The Mafia factional kill is not assigned.
  • The Mafia factional kill is mandatory. If no factional kill is submitted, the kill will be determined randomly from among living members of the town.
  • The Mafia will communicate through a private Discord server.

Gameplay Information

  • Phases will begin and end at 10:00:00 PM.
  • Days are 48 hours. Nights are 24 hours.
  • Eliminations are plurality only unless in ELo.
  • Sleep is a valid vote.
  • Tied votes will result in a player being eliminated at random from among the tied players.
  • Self-votes are not considered valid votes.
  • Votes are locked in ELo (eliminate-or-lose) scenarios, but not in MeLo (miseliminate-and-lose) scenarios.
  • Voting will follow this format (see Section II).
  • If a player needs to be modkilled during the day, their alignment will not be revealed until the day phase is over. Additionally, the day might immediately end with the modkill, depending on the situation. This is left to host discretion.
  • A 0-posting player, going into the night, CANNOT make it alive to the next day (if no replacement is found). If no replacement is found, we will extend the night phase by 24 hours. If we still can’t find one, the slot will be modkilled.

Easier said than done. This is a vanilla game, so there is no mech that can aid us in any shape or form.

At first I was happy to rand Town, but then I realized that it just means that I’ll lose this game again… :skull:

Eh, IDK. I always bring up the topic of low-posters and how I want to get rid of them ASAP, but then I remember that pandora is in the game, and she performs better past D1.

Do we want to introduce ourselves to the players we are unfamiliar with?

Good idea.

I’m Leafia and generally extrdmely good at reading Zone, although something seems a bit off about him ghis game. I’m not sure whether I’d call it wolfy or not though. I’m also great at reading Hippo as well.

I don’t know AngryFrog and Divergent, and I kinda forgot everything about T3.

…the more I think about what to do in this game, the more I share Hippo’s sentiment about UO2.

The game has yet to truly begin (since the majority of all players have yet to arrive), but I already fear that this will become a turbo format where people are only active in the first and last three hours of the day.

. . .
Oh well. Whether that fear will turn into reality or not is something I’ll have to revisit by D3. No point in worrying about it right now.

Going to give Zone the slimmest of wolfleans for now due to gut and my feeling that something is off about him this game. This isn’t feeling like how he felt to me in his town games.

yeah I would tend to agree; i think his doomering comes across as wolfy; though I know i’ve seen him do it as town. I also am finding this thread particularly hard to post in already which could just be a product of playstyles but it also makes sense if zone’s a wolf.

I randed Mafia twice in Project Moon Upick and Cheesening, and won them both. Then I randed Town twice in Chessening and Cressening, and lost both. Then I randed Mafia in my homesite and lost that game as well.

My WiM was very low at my previous game, and now it is kind of recovering.

As for my reading skills… I don’t have faith in them, but I’ll do my best. (-_-") :+1:

Though in general, I’d just blindly trust Hippo. He seems to often have good reads IMO. (…now, I do pray that that skill of his extends beyond non-vanilla games.)
