Intellect Devourers get Daze Monster as an SLA, and SLAs don’t require components*
* I reserve the right to say that SLAs with expensive material components still require those components. This is not RAW, but the RAW makes it kind of difficult to have a coherent setting.

well, it depends on what you want, right?
if you want to investigate the cult thing, you could think about the leads you have, and who you could ask for more information, or you could imitate Canary and find a random place with a lot of people (…and then not imitate Canary by actually asking them questions you want to know the answer to)

if you want to get into combat, you know there’s Something in the hospital, or you could look for fights elsewhere
if you want to do something else… well, it depends on what it is, right? I would ideally like the game to be fun for people, but if you were really hoping for something in particular, I won’t know what that thing is unless you tell me
