[RP] Trials of Madness - Completed - Apprentice, Magnus, Squirrel, and Windward emerge Victorious

Even the Ao Oni game that I am recently fascinated by. By its course of development it had so many crazy variations.

But ultimately, some daring stupid middle schoolers go to a haunted mansion and for some reason a spawn of satan haunts it and people hide, they die and then turn into a demon

With 0 explanation afterwards, nothing is explained

Hmm, I had this friend of mine that frequently wanted to work on setups together. But things that they wanted to do were things I wasn’t interested by and things that I wanted to do were too simplistic and so on.

Sometimes 2 heads can’t come up with something they both enjoy

uh
faith is really good
its about 6-ish hours of playtime without all the other things added

if you’re too hyperreligious it might not be for you though

And if it’s a misc, roleplay thinghie

Then it can be quite bad if there’s constant disputes

thats the main issue with cooperation
one person’s ideas can be completely misinterpreted and misused by the other

for an inspiration i couldn’t really use anything in it though, even if it was trying to emulate older horror
the puzzles would be too simple for a text-based game

Also I found something interesting recently.

So there’s this game on Roblox to make a boat to survive a very dangerous river thinghie.

And to survive I constantly put 10x10 blocks all over the place and called it a day and when I zoomed out to look at it in detail, it felt like I was watching clouds in the sky

Things that you can see that can be interpreted in thousand different ways.

Another fascinating thing is lovecraftian design that you can’t understand visually, say like the Silent Hill creatures that do not represent a human with 2 legs and 2 arms.

isn’t this the thing behind that personality test with images
“what do you see?”

The inkbloach tests?

Officer how dare you provide me a paper of a chinese worker scanning english google translate words onto a box full of suns

oh on the topic of horror games Therapy with Dr Albert Krueger is pretty good
and its free for about 45 minutes of gameplay
its not too scary, but the personalization of Dr Krueger is nice

cohosts are really an asset at certain points, but you need to build them up and accept some things won’t go to your plan
if you don’t need them, it may be best to go without
and always get someone you trust, if possible

players are a whole lot different because they will tear your game apart with no remorse and have no idea they’re even doing it

What happens if I see this as 2 winged gorillas on a top of a intergalactic tower that has 2 sonars at the top?

a general rule is

if the players can abuse something, and take the fun out of the game
they will

be really careful about what your players could mechnically do with your setpieces
even an arbitrary detail could be exploited for over an hour worth of gameplay

Players are like cats

This is the best mindset to apply.

World of Warcraft had this major bug back in 2005 that had a big epidemic of corrupted blood from Hakkar the Soulflyer, most people were busy infecting each other while the others were busy curing the infected.

There’s always different types of people that go against status quo

Losing a BoTF game on a minor misspelling on Volxis the demon

for an example
during the finale of fotd, Aelin ruled the arcade would logically have glass bottles in it, since a real arcade would
so we just
picked up all the bottles and tossed them into the enemy and ran away, slowly losing its health but also meaning we didn’t have to get damaged in the fight
