It makes perfect sense because Palpatine would want to follow meta and the only reason I chose you for chancellor was because it was who I was going to choose if Marluna hadn’t faked the red.

They are way too quick to rationalize getting passed 2 sith, this no-progression jump is not town
At the same time I would assume palpatine would try to not take any one-sided stances
Do you even need to ask why? Because there’s no way of knowing which person is sith and which is jedi. Furthermore, it doesn’t really matter which is which, because they’re frozen. Jedi should focus on getting jedi policies out. Or figuring out who Palpatine is.
